Talent! Wit! Humour! Great Writing!

So rare! Bravo!

# 2

Hint to those weird anti-Anniston posters. This is the same amount her movie earned.

# 3

GOOD–I love them!!

# 4

Since you’re so eager to compare the two GUNN, please also reveal the difference in what critics were saying, the potential for one to actually recover it’s budget, and if these two actually have viable careers. I wonder if you’ll see the difference there smarta**.

# 5

And Anuston’s grossed. 20.7 to almost 30 million here, so calm the f*ck down.

# 6

Tina and Steve didn’t have to do anything but make a movie that was enjoyable.. boy the hens get pissed when someone is mentioned..

I saw Date Night and it was really cute. not the best movie nor groundbreaking.. but it was still very funny and these two actually had GREAT CHEMISTRY.. Tina is on a roll and it is well deserved..

And regarding Butler and Aniston.. together they should have had a bigger weekend at least 30 million.. 15 for each star.. they are supposed to be these 2 big A listers.. . Tina and Steve beat out Titans and it is in its 2nd week not 3rd or 4th.. TBH didn’t have any other adult competition when it opened. It had that field all to itself.. Tina and Steve had Why Did I Get Married 2, TBH, and Last Song.. yet it was able to out do all 3.. that is nothing to sneeze at..

BRAVO GUYS.. thanks for showing that you don’t have to fake it to make it. JUST MAKE A FUNNY MOVIE.

For the life of me I can now understand how the Anuston/ Butler movie grossed $73 million worldwide as of date.

# 8

I really enjoyed the film. It went by pretty quick. Jare, you forgot to mention that Mark RUFFALO is also in this! How dare you mention what’s-her-face – Olivia Munn- and not Mark Ruffalo?! (BTW; be sure to stay ’til after the credits)

And with .00001% the amount of self-exploitation and promotion this is f*cking unbelievable.

TBH: 70 sweetheart. Boy, you all love to play with numbers.

@TBH:

It’s grossed way more than that. It’s total is about $98 million worldwide. According to The Hollywood Reporter it has made $42.2 overseas. Box Office Mojo is slow to update their numbers from the Foreign Box Office.

Please stop lying. And TBH, you’re right, and that’s the only correction I have to make:

Whose lying? Me? LOL.

“The Bounty Hunter,” Sony’s romantic comedy costarring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, boosted its foreign gross total to $42.2 million due to a $7.2 million weekend at 2,530 screens in 44 markets.

That’s not a lie. It is right there on THR’s report of the Overseas Box Office. You take that with the $56 million it is made domestically and that comes out to be over $98 million.

Like I said, Box Office Mojo updates daily when it comes to domestic numbers but they are slow on the foreign side.

Bottom Line @ 04/11/2010 at 6:51 pm

Date Night out performed Aniston’s crapfest TBH by leaps and bounds! There was no endless shoving down your throats promotion and stupid internet ads for Date Night like it was for TBH. There were no rumors of romance months before release to garner interest or no paid Access Hollywood to go to mehico for attention on a busted as movie, there were no photo shoots and fake “W” magazine shoots to promote date night like TBH.

Yet with all the promotional dollars spent on Aniston/Butler, all the tabloids mags on Aniston/Butler, and saturated tv talk and red carpet events the bottom ine is Aniston could not open a movie with top biling AS NUMBER 1. Her movie came in at number 3 when it shoud have knocked out AOW which was in it’s third week as number 1.

Aniston is a B-list celebrity with no movie star appeal, draw and most important talent. She is a sitcom, t.bloid star, nothing more,

I did, actually. Date night yesterday night and it was AMAZING. I was blown away and I had very high expectations. It’s safe to say the movie didnt only meet them but exceeded them as well. we need more movies like this.

Dawn, Dawn., Dawn. My link is from today and include the foreign gross. You seem to be tagging on the $40 million in production cost that is already considered a budget loss and not a “gross,” which brings you to your imaginary $98 gross. Also the numbers I’m posting is consistently on more than one site. The gross has been 17 million approx. abroad and even your own support posted $73 as the cash dollar amount.

You think if her film was about to make $100 mill this wouldn’t have been shoved down our throats already and all over the news????

Saw it loved it…great at everything..

Loving the comments here. I must watch this today.

@TIM GUNN:

Aniston ‘s film made $20.6 million and had marketing of the carpet-bomb variety.

Great post about copy paste concern. I do not like to post comment but sharing because
