Wearing makeup AND still drinking from a baby bottle! Very weird parenting. Don’t know why she is joined at the hip to her insecure mother and not playing with children her own age.
Say what you want about Tom and Katie but that child is adorable. And, if she is photographed too much, or spoiled, or wearing too much make-up, none of that is her fault. She’s three. It’s the parents responsibility to set rules and guidelines. Sure, every kid likes to play dress up and what not, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t raid my mom’s make-up a few times when I was little. And, when I was six, I had one of those weird childhood obsessions with the roll-y lipgloss that you can get in the whole package of fruity flavors. Maybe my parents are just old-fashioned that way, but I always was dressed for the weather (though it has been pretty nice in NY for a week or so), didn’t wear sparkly heels to walk down the street, and didn’t wear red lipstick to go outside. Granted, it can be pretty hard to get your kid to take off the make-up, but, as the parent, one should be able to take care of that. Especially when you know you’ll be under public scrutiny.
& Ah, twelve year olds who have probably never even seen Dawson’s or anything with Katie in it and just know her from tabloids. And who probably will only see this movie because Channing is in it. Silly, kids. Does no body care that Al Pacino is also in this film? Or, has he not been filming yet? Actually, I doubt those kids would even know who Al was, so it makes sense that no one chase him for an autograph.

Katie Holmes is in New York making a movie. Since she is also a mother , she has her daughter with her. Everyday she leaves her apartment , sometimes with Suri , sometimes without. She is going to work. She is not asking those pesky paps to be there 24/7, doing nothing more exciting than snapping pictures of her going from the front of her apartment to the her waiting car.

Amy Scobee is a former high-ranking Scientologist. She’s about to publish a book about her time with the Church, which contains some interesting details about Tom Cruise. Last week, Cruise’s lawyer has sent her an angry letter, countering the claims.
Scobee, who’d been with the Church since age 14 and used to work at the LA Celebrity Centre, has spoken out before—most recently during Anderson Cooper’s CNN Scientology expose. Next month, her book, Scientology: Abuse at the Top, will be (self-?) published next month. Tom Cruise’s lawyer, Bertram Fields, got wind of it, and on April 6th, he sent her a letter warning her about publishing a book that “includes assertions about Mr. Cruise that are demonstrably false and defamatory.” Former Scientologist Mark “Marty” Rathbun—who was also featured in Cooper’s series—posted it to his blog.
So, what are these demonstrably false assertions?
First, that Tom Cruise has a “drug history,” and he was worried this would keep him out of Scientology:
Your book claims that Mrs. David Miscavige [wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige] said that Mr. Cruise had a ‘Drug History.’ This is false. Mr. Cruise has no ‘Drug history whatsoever. He has never used illegal drugs of any kind.
Rathbun, who has apparently read Scobee’s manuscript, says that Scobee’s book recounts a conversation with David Miscavige’s wife, where she told Amy that Tom was “so gung-ho” that he wanted to join the Sea Org but he didn’t qualify because of his previous drug history.
Second: That Cruise was “given an ultimatum to choose between Scientology and Nicole Kidman.” Fields writes that “Scientology had nothing to do with Mr. Cruise’s divorce.” But Rathbun says Scobee’s book doesn’t cover the divorce because she didn’t have first-hand information about it. (Although Jason Lee’s ex-wife certainly thinks Scientology had something to do with it.)
Third: That “a Scientologist handling Mr. Cruise’s finances was punished for losing him money.” Fields claims that no one who manages Cruise’s money is a Scientologist. Rathbun says that in her book, Scobee writes about one Alan Hollander, who was “put in the bilges” of Scientology’s nautical-themed “Sea Org” because he “messed up on some investment for TC.”
Finally: That Cruise’s household staff is selected and paid by Scientology. “This is also false,” Fields writes. “Scientology does not select his household staff.” Rathbun says that Scobee was involved in a project to “hire Scientologists for TC’s household,” whose duties included housekeeping and cooking.
Fields concludes by writing that,assuming that you publish these libelous assertions, I have urged Mr. Cruise not to give your book publicity by filing a lawsuit while it is initially on sale, but to wait until later to file an appropriate action for damages.

Two former Scientologists have shone a less than flattering spotlight on the controversial organisation, which counts the actors John Travolta and Tom Cruise among its followers, in a landmark lawsuit.
In the test case against the US-based Church of Scientology, Marc Headley and his wife, Claire, have told how they were treated like slaves and forced to work 20-hour days almost continually through the year.
Mrs Headley claims she was coerced into having an abortion, while Mr Headley has spoken about how he was subjected to a strange mind-control practise by the actor Tom Cruise.
Both were members of Sea Org, the Scientologists’ “religious order” and a supposedly elite vanguard made up of its most dedicated recruits, and signed up to the religion when they were still teenagers.
Members of the order sign a billion-year pledge of loyalty, promise not to have children, and live and work communally.
Mr Headley, 36, says he devoted half his life to Scientology but started to question it while earning 39 cents an hour mass-producing cassettes which, he said, the organisation paid $1 to make but sold for $75. In 15 years, he earned just $29,000, he said.
Now, the couple are seeking back pay and overtime that their lawyer says could amount to $1 million (£660,000) each from the organisation, which was founded in 1953 by the sci-fi writer L Ron Hubbard.
Barry Van Sickle, a California lawyer who represents the Headleys, said: “This is a test case. We didn’t do this to make a big bunch of money for the Headleys.”
“The idea was that if we could make [the Scientologists] comply with the labour laws, people could get some sleep at night, have some money in their pocket and be harder to control.”
The Scientology organisation has denied all the allegations and says the plaintiffs are liars motivated by greed.
But whatever the outcome of the trial, which is scheduled to start in January, the Headleys have already become a thorn in the side of their former church.
Mr Headley, who described in a book how Scientology security guards chased him after he tried to escape the compound.
He also described how, in 1990, he was reassigned so Cruise could practice auditing – the organisation’s signature counselling technique – on him.
According to Mr Headley, Cruise spent three weeks practising so-called “upper indoctrination training routines” in which – for hours on end – he would instruct him to speak to a book, bottle and ashtray, even giving the objects orders.
“You tell the ashtray, ‘Sit in that chair’. Then you actually go over and put the ashtray on a chair,” Mr Headley told the New York newspaper Village Voice.
He said the routine was supposed to “rehabilitate your ability to control things”.
Some believe Scientology would suffer heavily without its Sea Org workforce and Mr Headley said the church was terrified that members might try to leave.
He said he lived with 24-hour surveillance, roll call three times a day and censored post.
Sea Org, short for Sea Organisation, was set up by Hubbard to accompany him on his proselytising sea journeys. It members – said by the church to number 6,000 – still sometimes wear pseudo-naval uniforms.
Although they work at all major Scientology centres including Saint Hill, its British HQ Near East Grinstead, many Sea Org members are based at a 500-acre gated compound outside Los Angeles.
Mr Van Sickle said he had an ex-Scientologist client who first signed a Sea Org contract when he was only four years old.
“When you’re 15 or 16-years-old, as the Headleys were, they take you out of your home and out of high school, and make you a bunch of promises,” said Mr Van Sickle.
He said he was surprised to find that Sea Org members who served In it for 15 years were still on the bottom Scientology rung. “It’s a slave labour force that the leaders have no intention of letting rise up the ladder,” he said.
Scientology has recently come under attack around the world. It was denounced in the Australian parliament and narrowly escaped being banned in France after being prosecuted for fraud.
It suffered a high-profile defection last October when the Hollywood director Paul Haggis left, claiming it was homophobic and its officials had lied about its practices.
A week ago, a federal judge in Los Angeles dismissed part of Mrs Headley’s suit, siding with the Scientologists’ contention that she was exempt from wage requirements because she was part of a religious order.
However, Barry Van Sickle, a California lawyer who represents the Headleys, said that the ruling did not address two more serious claims – that the “church” coerces Sea Org members to get abortions and that it engages in forced labour.
