Conan O'Brien & TBS Team Up For New Show

Conan O’Brien will join the TBS network in the 11 p.m. time slot starting this November.

The 46-year-old former Tonight Show host tweeted, “The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show.”

Conan also released a funny statement: “In three months, I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.”

Conan‘s move to the network will cause George Lopez‘s show, Lopez Tonight, to be bumped to a later slot (midnight).

    what a M0RON!!! who the hell watches TBS??? he will sink faster than the Titanic, or my girlfriend’s head in my lap.

    Oh, the irony of it all. Conan’s show will bump George Lopez to a later slot!! Didn’t Conan reject the same idea of bumping “The Tonight show” to a later slot for Jay Leno’s show??

  • OXA

    This sucks and I refuse to watch this moron.

    Go Coco! I’ll be watching. :-)

    I LOVE YOU COCO!!!!!!!!!!

  • AutumnM

    I love Conan, but TBS? Seriously? That’s a step down really. He should have just negotiated with NBC and gone with the time slot after Jay.

    @Colleen:

    HUGE, HUGE, HUGE difference between bumping a show that has been on at 11:30 for decades and bumping a show that will only have been around for a year when he premieres.

    The difference is that TBS actually asked Lopez his thoughts FIRST then went after Conan with Lopez’s blessing. Lopez will see better ratings with a Conan lead-in and he knows it. So it’s all good and not like Conan was “bumping” a guy that didn’t want to be bumped.

    Conan knows what he is doing and what makes him happy. Go CoCo!

    Sorry Coco-puffs! I STILL see the irony in it. The bigger guy bumps the smaller guy. But that’s show business.

  • Justme

    If no one watched him on NBC, why would anyone watch him on TBS?
