OlderChace Crawford Cuts Loose From 'Footloose'
Chace Crawford is no longer involved in the remake of Footloose.
The 24-year-old actor will begin work on Gossip Girl again this summer, which is when Paramount hopes to begin production on Footloose, according to EW.
Chace became attached to the project about a year ago, replacing Zac Efron. Kenny Ortega left the project a little over six months ago and several rewrites have taken place on the script.
Julianne Hough is still set to play the love interest in the film.

…good. i woukld have left too. it’s a crappy project that’s taken way to long to start filming. that’s a clear sign it’s going to suck.

(but on the other side it’s a good choice, I don’t like remakes. Look at Fame!)

The film just doesn’t need to be remade. Period. With all this rotating in and out of cat and crew, you’d think someone would realize that they should leave well enough alone and just scrap the thing entirely.

Zac Efron, Kenny Ortega left the project so maybe it’s better that Chace quits it too. This movie won’t be good lol.
