Sarah Jessica Parker - 'Vogue' Cover Girl May 2010

Sarah Jessica Parker is true blue in Calvin Klein Collection on the May 2010 cover of Vogue. Check out what the 45-year-old Sex and the City star shared:

On having children with a surrogate mother: “Meeting your children rather than giving birth to them, it’s as if, um, it’s—suspended animation. The gestational experience is gone. It’s as if everything else disappears for a moment, and the world goes silent and—I can’t explain it except to say that nothing else existed. I don’t remember anything but the blanket on the bed that they were lying on and my husband’s face and their faces and my son’s. It’s literally as if sound is sucked from the room. Time stands still. It’s so different, and equally extraordinary.”

On twins Tabitha Hodge (“or Babe”) and Marion Loretta Elwell (“or Kitty”): “Aren’t those great names? (grins) Babe Broderick! Kitty Broderick! It’s like it’s 1940. I wish it were 1940.”

On the importance of keeping perspective: “We painted our patio furniture ourselves…. I make my children’s food myself. We put together their high chairs ourselves; we do a lot ourselves! We do our own grocery shopping, we go to the market ourselves, you know? I do my laundry.”

The upcoming Sex and the City sequel: “We four women, despite I guess what a lot of people hope, have never been better. This movie—and maybe it’s because we actually lived together—it was the best! We were together all day long, at night, in the restaurants, in our hotels. It was wonderful.”

I don’t know what this woman has.. she’s not tall, she’s not typically-pretty, but she can pull off anything! I think she dresses better than almost any young starlets today.

@Rita: SJP has a horse face but her body is INCREDIBLY well proportioned: tiny waist, long arms and legs for her height, good muscle tone. She can pull off any fashion, I’ll admit that. Her body in the SATC series was AMAZING (still is!).

@yo sista: She’s considered a fashion icon by some ppl. And it makes more sense for her to be on the cover than Jessica Biel and Blake Lively.

She does have a good figure but that face! And that cover is photoshopped to the point where it barely looks like her. Her chin has been shaved down, skin make to look like that of a 20 year old, no veins or spots on the arms; the nose has been slimmed and smoothed. The eyes look different but not sure what they did to them. This is ridiculous.

She looks just like Bette Midler , they are both ugly as hell, who in their right mind can call her pretty???

You can add Jennifer Aniston to that list as well.

I think she is lovely.

listen she has a banging body. and her face is not so bad.. something about her makes her so cute ! thats why they make guys fall for her movies.. because in real life too she has that quality.
I’m sure you can’t even touch her body or face with your 10 foot pole. Jennifer aniston is gorgous. She may have a stronger face than most but still so gorgous. I remember watching friends and thinking this is the chick guys go for.. Take the negatvity out of your bitter lives and join a gym. get a tan .. new clothes.. and develop a persona.

@To: #9:

WTF does this post have to do with Jennifer Aniston? Go get a life please.

As far as SJP is concerned, I don’t think she is pretty in the conventional sense, but she does have flawless fashion sense, and wears clothes like no other in Hollywood.

SJP, Bette Midler, Jennifer Aniston, Barbara Streisand all have good bodies but face wise they look like sisters.

I read the whole article on another site and I think it is a lovely interview and the photo’s are goregous! I aboslutely LOVE reading interviews when Sarah talks about her children. It’s clear she just adores them and how sweet is James saying he had to look handsome to meet his sisters. That melted my heart. He is an amazing big brother. Now I know people are probably going to throw an all outfit and go nuts over her saying James went on a flight alone but first off children are supervised on flights if they are alone, second someone stays with the child at the airport till the appropriate adult is there to get them. Also with her saying she had to leave the girls, please remember the twins were not in the picture when she signed on to do SATC 2, I also agree with her. I wouldnt’ want to take two small babies on a flight in a cabin full of germs for hours and hours. They were to young to get the H1N1 shot, so she made the right choice. She left them at home with their father Matthew and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

What a stunning editorial, and cover, SJP is THE style Icon, and she BELONGS on Vogue, way more than many others, people commenting otherwise probably dont know jack about fashion!

Thumb up Thumb down 0

wow!!!
This cover deserves an award!!!!
They made her look 20 years younger!

i dont care what anyone says but sjp is fabulous & has great taste in fashion!! why do all these people waste their time & leave negative comments?

@val:

Couldn’t agree more val!

Is it me, or does she does the SAME OLD photo shoot for Vogue every year?! **** YAWN *** VERY boring… They should have just given the cover and spread to any one of the other girls. Or better yet, the people over at Vogue could have featured a NEW face on their cover instead of the same played out ones. It’s 2010, they need to step up their game.
