OlderSophia Bush: Southern Discomfort with Don Johnson!
One Tree Hill babe Sophia Bush has scored a lead role in the ABC family comedy pilot Southern Discomfort.
The 27-year-old actress will play Haley, the overachieving younger daughter of Don Johnson and Mary Steenbergen. Southern Discomfort centers on a father whose life is “turned upside down when his grown kids move back in with him.”
Deadline reports the CW will either renew One Tree Hill or frosh drama Life Unexpected. If OTH gets picked up again, Sophia will have to kiss this pilot goodbye!

Yay for Sophia. She will be awesome in this. I am stunned that she got the part there are so actresses yet they gave it to her knowing she might not be able to do it. Bravo Sophia!

Cancel OTH! She’s been on that show for seven years, but it’s time for something new.
I really hope OTH gets cancelled. It has sucked since they got rid of Leyton. Sophia would be so great in the pilot, would love to see her in something different and new.
i’m a huge fan of one tree hill still, even with out Leyton, and i hope that it stays. people it’s a pilot on ABC Family. if it was a major network, i could see getting more excited.
OTH has to be cancelled if this is true. There is no way she would sign onto this if it wasn’t.
The show is going to be on ABC, not ABC family. Jared made an error. The shows producers and casting directors want Sophia in the show, so lets hope she will be able to do and that OTH gets canceled.

The show sounds awful but I’ll give it a try to see what she’s like.

Sophia can still do movies, especially if the show is filmed in Los Angeles. I think the show sounds fantastic and there is a huge possibility of it being hilarious given the have a really good cast and good material to work with. And it sounds better than some of the other new shows I’ve been hearing about. So good for her!
They should just cancel OTH and renew Life Unexpected! LUX is a very good show and it would be a shame to let it go.
