OlderCharlotte Church Announces Engagement!
Rugby star Gavin Henson proposed to Charlotte Church with a two-carat heart-shaped ring on February 21, her 24th birthday.
The couple plans to marry on a remote island with their children, Ruby, two, and Dexter, 15 months.
Gavin said he softened Charlotte up for the proposal by taking her out on a drinking binge the night before. He said, “When she’s hung over and feeling a bit sketchy she’s a lot more touchy-feely and lovey so I thought she’ll definitely say yes then.”
“After lunch Gavin said, ‘Let’s go for a walk’. Then he started saying, ‘We’ve been together five years, we’ve had good times and hard times but it’s mostly been good,” Charlotte relayed to OK!. “I think we’re meant to be together for the rest of our lives’. I was a bit confused. He never says anything like that. Then he went down on one knee and said, ‘Will you marry me?’”

Well congrats to Charlotte and Gavin. Charlotte has an exquisite voice. She was fantastic in her show and totally out-sang Beyonce’s sister Solange! Slag…? Hardly. Has been devoted to Gavin for over 5 years, 2 kids, holding down a job in the public eye and being a Mom and partner. We need more women like Charlotte who have real talent and have achieved a lot in their short lives, and less of the likes of Katie Price, Paris Hilton and Kim Karshadian.
