Gorgeous talented women! Can’t wait to get this issue!

  • hayley

Wow! How gorgeous! Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet obviously top all these other women in terms of.. well, EVERY SINGLE THING.

  • t

    Best actresses!

  • Jones

Given it’s the Paris issue, where’s Marion Cotillard?! If you’re going to put a bunch a high-caliber actresses on a cover, you’ve got to include her!!

  • lexy hates bilson

Great to see these talented women on the cover!! Reminds us that there are still some great actresses left in HW!

  • Silver

Everyone looks good except for Gwyneth.

  • janet

All of these women are so gorgeous but I wish that there would have included a black actress. Still, I am happy to see all of the other talented ladies.

  • incognito

Kate Winslet looks gorgeous but heavily photoshopped.
Streep, Moore and Watts are beautiful.
    Paltrow looks awkward.

  • clau238

  • Ocean

@Jones: True, where is Cotillard? She’s a beautiful and talented Oscar winner.

  • whatever

Why was Gwyneth included? She is probably the least accomplished of this group.

  • Jane

Aww Kate looks lovely. Glad to see that she’s doing well after her split. Love her.

  • Halle

I think you mean Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Kate Winslet cover Vogue Paris.

  • rayna

I don’t understand why they’ve included her, ESPECIALLY on the top likes of Kate and Meryl. Uh.. … yup.

  • rayna

I don’t understand why they’ve included her, ESPECIALLY on the top likes of Kate and Meryl. Uh.. … yup.

Where’s Oscar Winner Halle Berry also?

  • ally

“Also on the cover are Julianne Moore, Penelope Cruz, and Naomi Watts”

Nice wording. Do you not consider them A-List??

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t fit here. I would have really preferred Marion Cotillard and/or Cate Blanchett.

  • Marisa

I think Marion Cotillard should have been there instead of Gwyneth Paltrow. Cotillard is doing so well and just keeps getting better while Paltrow hasn’t really been consistent. The rest of the group are fantastic though especially Streep and Winslet together! But it’s a shame that they’re photoshopped – Winslet doesn’t even look like herself, Streep, Watts and Moore look awkward, Cruz looks disproportioned, and Paltrow looks flat out horrible. The cover would have been much better had the style of the shoot been more natural. I would have loved to see them fresh faced!

  • lisa

hahaha. I’m like ‘Ooh! Kate Winslet! Julianne Moore !- wait, is that Gwyneth Paltrow?’

i’m sure that’s everyone’s reactions right now. why she’s included in this, i will forever question.

  • lisa

@marisa agreed! Meryl and Kate on a cover together is so great. They’ve yet to do a movie together.

And this cover IS heavily photoshopped, which is a shame. They all look good though, but just too much.

  • Varsity

Love the cover except for GP who’s rocking the man jaw in that odd angle.

  • rosalie

Kate is so gorgeous. Favorite actress, that one, along with Julianne and Meryl. And she has a brain, unlike some actress in this group. *coughpaltrowcough*

  • hmmm

this reminds me of an early photo of gwynnie where she looked strangely like a tranny. they may have included her but they didn’t give her a flattering shot.

  • YUCK..

  • YUCK..

  • Anton

gorgeous talented ladies … that don’t need quite so much airbrushing. it took me ages to work out which was gwyneth.

  • Jen

I have to agree, why is Halle Berry not on the cover? She won an Oscar, too. I think she’s as worthy to be on the cover as Gwyneth Paltrow. They’re also missing Cate Blanchett.

  • LeviKlein

This is like my DREAM! I have a soft spot for literally every single woman featured on this cover! Wonder if I can get this issue in Canada…

  • busted

Talented women. but man none of them look like themselves at all.. too airbrushed. and no reason for it. THEY are beautiful.

Why can’t there be a natural cover.. Really this isn’t a good cover to me. I know I may be in the minority but really none of them look like themselves. Very plastic.. no character.. nothing like a cut out paper doll pattern. Women deserve more..

  • Dawn

It’s Vogue, you guys. They have a strict schedule. These ladies have strict schedules. Vogue would probably would have loved to have Marion and/or Halle but it is all a matter of scheduling. They probably had to have the cover done on a certain date and these were the ladies available for that date.

  • xx

the only actress missing is Sandra

  • http://HOT.COM hot

Julianne Moore looks really ugly (on the cover) like a skeleton and she is really pretty in real life, Penelope is the hottest one

  • angel

I’d have loved to see Halle, Cate and Marion as well but we could also say, where’s this and that person…We can’t fit everyone in just one issue. I say let’s just appreciate these ladies on this cover. Isn’t it amazing to see Meryl Streep in all her glory among younger actresses and yet, it feels so natural. You don’t look at her and go.. but she’s so much older, etc. She’s Meryl Streep! Legend! Love them all.

  • Nora

What has Gwen done lately to deserve the cover? Marion, Maggy, or Angelina would have been a better choice.

  • Cosmo

@Nora: She has a movie coming out, that’s why. Besides, she’s a vogue darling. She’s got the whole cover on Vogue UK this month. Gotta sell it. lol

  • So so underrated

You lot have obviously never seen “Shakespeare In Love”

  • ellen

Kate Winslet is absolutely positively stunning. If i’m not mistaken, she’s the youngest in that group (unless Penelop is) and she’s already accomplished more than half of those other actresses there.

Glad to see that she is looking well. I can’t wait to see the interviews; I’m always interested in what Kate has to say.

  • Cold Case

@So so underrated: Most have probably seen it. I enjoyed it bu she’s overrated in comparison to Blanchett’s performance that year. GP hasn’t had any noms since but she does have a movie coming out so I can see them giving her a cover even though her career hasn’t been as accomplished as the others.

  • Liv

Kate is gorgeous already. They didn’t have to photoshop her or Naomi Watts as heavily as they did. Also, Gwenyth Paltrow? That’s a fail of a choice. Cate Blanchett would have made more sense.

  • Ashleigh

Kate is easily the most gorgeous one here, even though she looks a bit melanchotic. Poor Kate, this must’ve been taken right when everyone still thought she was with Sam. But they all look stunning though.

Also, I also don’t understand why Gwyneth Paltrow has been included i this group. It’s like Meryl and Kate are the greatest actresses ever and also Julianne and Naomi and Penelope – and look, there’s blunt and obnoxious Gwyneth..

strange. Sorry, just don’t like her.

  • G is for Giggles

Love all these women, but where is Halle, she the first EVER black actress to win an Academy and Penelope didn’t remember to ask to be part of this cover.

When does it end? Some respect would be great

  • Marion is French

The reason they didn’t include Marion Cotillard is because she’s french and therefore not very relevant in Hollywood. Even Spaniards (as in people from Spain) are more relevant in Hollwyood than the french.

Kate Winslet looks breathtaking on this cover!

  • Airis

You don’t know what you are talking about…. Penelope is horrible yes, even in Spain we didn’t like her, but you can’t say we are all like this, by the way you know where is Spain?

  • Ana

    gorgeous cover!!! Love all actresses

  • lola

    @Marion is French:

That’s a ridiculous comment to make. Marion is very relevant in Hollywood-she has starred with Johnny Depp, Daniel Day Lewis, has a movie with Nolan & Dicaprio coming out and is also to start filming a Woody Allen. How does this make her irrelevant? She is so talented and Hollywood recognises. I’d say her career is more relevant than Gwyneth Paltrow’s. I hate how Gwyneth still gets all of this attention just because she was once a media darling. She is an idiot now, and even her acclaimed fashion sense has gone down the tubes. And Jared why put her name in the headline? When you had three better actresses to choose from? Are you getting paid to post about her?

  • mickey

Paltrow is evil–they could’ve left her off. The others are fine, although I don’t get why Naomi Watts is on there. She is a good actress but I don’t think of her as being in the same status level as the others.

  • tohy

lol…naomi watts, gwineth paltrow and NOT NICOLE KIDMAN? WTF?
NICOLE KIDMAN IS one of THE GREATEST actress of human history, she DESERVED TO BE IN THAT COVER.
her importance in human culture and hollywood movies industry is endless, but there’s a strange “ghost” that stops everyone to consider serioulsy the talent, the position of this incredible actress.
is it tom cruise? is it her marriage with tom? for how much she has to pay for her marriage with cruise? why people can’t consider her important because her marriage with cruise? why people can’t take her seriously because she was married with cruise!? they divorced 10 years ago!! how many incredible things she’s done in the last then years?
she deserved more than cruz, winslet, watts and paltrow to stay in that cover…shame!

  • troi

I agree totally with you. And I’ll go further with the speculation. I think Xenu’s minions try and discredit her whenever they see an opportunity. I’ve noticed whenever she gets accolades, suddenly all these rumors and innuendos pop up. It is probably tommy girl’s xenu fan club trying to make sure she knows her place as a suppressive person! The hate that is dumped on her is astounding to me. I don’t think she is a truly great actress, but I do think she is much better than Paltrow and on par with Watts and Moore and Cruz. Obviously there is only one Streep. Yet time and again if a film flops it is her fault even tho she may have a bankable male star across from her. No one every looks at shoddy scripts, directing, or the fact that many others including Streep, Moore, Cruz, Winslet etc have all had their share of bombs too!

  • vox

@Cold Case: I absolutely agree with you. Cate Blanchett’s performance in Elizabeth was on a total different level than Gwyneth Paltrow’s performance in SiL. But, I guess, with Steven Spielberg as your godfather, it couldn’t go wrong….Nonetheless, in my view GP is a fine actress.

Many other actresses would have deserved to be on that cover (Blanchett, Cotillard, Theron, Benning, Scott-Thomas…..). But I can only imagine how difficult it must be to get these women in the same room at the same time. They are shooting (and living) all over the world…
