Lin Yu Chun is a remarkably talented young man with a very compelling story, and in his first appearance on America television Lopez mocks him by having Shatner, who is not even a singer, join him on stage for a “duet.” Shame on Lopez. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for Lin Yu Chun to shine bright on his own and Lopez squanders Chun’s opportunity by turning the whole thing into a joke. Very sad, but even worse, this is very unkind treatment of a kid.

Wow are American shows always so disrespectful to their guests and like to ridicule those who may not have the looks but got huge talent? That white guy just spoilt a great performance. Should have just let Lin perform alone with back-up singers. Sheeeesh!

I can’t see how this is a humiliation to this amazingly talented young man. This is a wonderful opportunity for him; to make his American TV debut in a hit TV show with an icon of entertainment such as William Shatner. I was done with humor and good taste.
