Glee: Highest-Rated New Scripted Series, #1 on Billboard Chart
Glee has just been crowned, unsurprisingly, the top-rated new scripted series this season!!!
According to THR, Fox’s hit musical dramedy pulled in in 12.6 million viewers (5.3 preliminary adults 18-49) to become the highest-rated freshman series. CBS’ reality show “Undercover Boss” remains the top-ranked new series overall.
Glee‘s Madonna soundtrack (the music from last week’s episode) will also debut at #1 on the Billboard chart.
Congrats, Glee!!! Next week’s episode will have SNL alum Molly Shannon and Olivia Newton John guest star. Watch the preview below!

No surprise here. We’re living in the auto-tune era and people love this crap. Are there any REAL singers left?
@laverdadduele: Are you kidding me? Lea Michele, Amber Riley, Matt Morrison, and the rest of the cast all have ridiculously amazing voices. Especially the 3 I mentioned. Lea’s has perfect pitch. Yeah, you can tell that the recordings are adjusted, but Lea and Amber are almost just as flawless live. <3
Exactly!! well said angelica!
Even I can have a perfect pitch voice with auto-tune. I saw these group of clowns in Oprah and they all SUCKED live.
A Billboard #1 means almost nothing in 2010. The relevance as to what that is and how its determined in 2010 is almost zero.
I love glee
Yay Glee! Love the show and all you really have to do is go on YouTube and search Lea Michele or Amber Riley to see them performing live to see that those two girls are at the top when it comes to voices. They can sing their asses off! So whatever. Good for the show!
@laverdadduele: please shut up!
OMG!! shut up, you cant say that lea or amber have no talent, totally insane. i admire’em so muuuuuuch.
Congrats GLEE, best show ever!
If they are such “perfect pitch” singers, how come their voices have to be adjusted in recordings? I just don’t get it.
