Elizabeth Banks: MET Ball 2010

Elizabeth Banks stays light as a feather at the MET Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 3) in New York City.

The 36-year-old former Scrubs actress wore head-to-toe Gucci with a black feather dress, python lace tights, black leather and suede platform sandals and suede clutch.

The Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrates the opening of the “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” exhibition. The event is hosted by Patrick Robinson of The Gap, co-hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.

She gets the award for most interesting look of the night, and I mean that in a good way. Not everyone could pull off that unique dress and hair. I’ve already forgotten the sea of ball gowns but I’ll remember this dress. Nicely done, Elizabeth!
