OlderBetty White Boosts SNL Ratings!
Drawing on her six decades in comedy, Betty White showed how it’s done as host of this past weekened’ s Saturday Night Live.
The 88-year-old consummate pro brought SNL its biggest ratings in more than 18 months, averaging an 8.8 rating, its biggest viewership since a November 1, 2008. If you haven’t already, watch Betty White‘s full SNL episode here!
In other news, the after-party was hosted by musical guest Jay-Z at 1Oak and had guests such as Beyonce, Quentin Tarantino and Swizz Beatz.

Betty White was hilarious. Anyone who thinks otherwise is, UNAMERICAN! OK, not really, but she was great. She’s accomplishing more at 88 years old than she did her whole life (possibly except when she was on GG, that ran for 8 years). She’s like a fine wine, she get’s better with age. One of my fave actresses.
As much as I would love to see her do more stuff, she’s 88, she’ll have a heart attack if she does any more. I want her to rest. Maybe on her 89th birthday, she’ll join the next season on DWTS, now that would be classic.

Betty has a new sitcom on TV Land. It’s premiering in June and costars Valleri Bertanelli & Jane Leeves. I’ve been a fan since the Mary Tyler Moore show. Betty’s comedic timing is spot on. Loved SNL this week! Go Betty!

Love Betty, but 1/2 of those ratings were Jay-Z fans as he has his own huge fanbase and they were waiting for this performance. Mr. Hudson cancelled a London show just to be there.
If anyone thinks that Betty White alone brought in the viewers, they are mistaken. Jay Z has many devotees including me who pay big dollars to see him on his sold out concert tour dates & WE tuned in to SNL solely to see Jay Z who put on a much heralded performance. So give Jay Z his props; I’m sure the SNL producers and advertisers knew what they were doing in having him on the show. Hoping to see you again on tv or on tour JAY!
