OlderCate Blanchett Cannes Honor McQueen
Cate Blanchett hits the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie, Robin Hood, held at the Palais des Festivals during the 2010 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 12) in Cannes, France.
The 40-year-old Aussie access wore a dress by the late Lee Alexander McQueen, which he had personally selected for the actress. It features a silver eagle in flight!
Fellow Aussie Russell Crowe wore a black one-button shawl collar microfiber Giorgio Armani tuxedo. His wife Danielle Spencer will also wear a Giorgio Armani Privé white silk plisse halter evening gown.

She brings class, talent, strength and intelligence to the table and is the antithesis of realty ‘stars’ like Kate Gosselin. Cate IS worth the mlllions she’ s paid and pays it forward (without the need to make a PR event out of it). Some other wannabes should take note.

This McQueen looks incredible on Cate! The other frilly dresses are looking like typical boring Oscar fare, this dress actually stands out & is unique! I love this look!! Cate is a fashion icon for all to bow down to!!!

She has the greatest red carpet style (except for when she wears too much Armani Privé too much). She always knows how to stand out amongst the boring prom dresses (I’m looking at you Kate Boringsale and Eva Longboria).

Quite different from Crowe and his wife, who both look like they don’t belong there. His wife is too skinny for that Armani gown and he should have left his sunglasses at home.

Lovely gown! But her face has the waxy botox look and she should have touched up her dark roots. Over confident or lack of preparation. The gown deserves a complete look, not just a casual attempt. B-
