'Sex and the City' Ladies Cover EW

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are looking lovely on the cover of this week’s Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands TOMORROW (May 14).

The ladies – and their co-stars! – dished on Sex and the City 2 and the series that started it all. Check it:

SJP, on wearing couture in the desert: Kim and I had this camel that without any warning would just sit down whenever he wanted. And we were dressed like lunatics! Designer couture on camels. And I mean Couture. I had some vintage Dior pieces from the couture archives on a camel.”

Chris Noth, on not being asked to go to Morocco to film: “I had [the series finale in] Paris, but I was still really f—-ing pissed! [John] Corbett gets to go? I said, ‘If there’s another one, Carrie and Big are going on a worldwide f—ing tour because we need to spruce things up before her first baby or something.’ I don’t know, I’m making it up.”

Kristin, on meeting her fellow castmembers: “Our first day on the set, Sarah Jessica had this big thing of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and she invited me to her trailer. She [said] ‘Let’s hang out and get to know each other.’ We had 18-hour days, so we bonded pretty quickly. The most famous person on the set, you take their lead.”

Did anyone realize that Chris Noth basically divulged that there is no baby in the storyline for him and Carrie in this movie?

This was my show and I thought the 1st movie was good, but honestly…this film looks beyond stupid!! I am not sure I want to pay a theater price to see it. May just wait for DVD. I can remember never liking it when they took the girls out of NYC & this whole concept seems ridiculous. Maybe they need to finally let it be and move on.

I hate this show with a passion. It’s all about shoes. And middle-aged women talking a lot. And middle-aged women having embarrassing sex with various unsuitable partners. And then deconstructing at tedious length the embarrassing sex they have had with these unsuitable partners. Disgusting! Why would I want to sit through a show about women talking a lot, besides SJP is so fugly it hurts my eyes.

I am a big SATC fan, but I have to admit the first movie was a dud, so I am not watching this until it comes out on DVD. The show is meant for TV and not the Movies. And now the overhype is now getting annoying. They are making it seem like it is Batman, or some Transformer movie. I like how the SATC world was a cult following. Now it is bigger than what it is actually is.

  • Kim

@ dabaum: he also seemed to refer to the fact that Carrie and Big are still a couple at the end of the second film. Did he just gave away a big spoiler? No pun intended with the name :-)

They should really start thinking in the terms of something else. The show is over and done with, the first movie while nothing special didn’t flop – let it end there. This is completely unneeded, sounds horrible and frankly, a bit desperate. Can’t they get any other projects? Oh well I suppose they’ll milk it for as long as they can instead of stopping while it was good though as this has flop written all over it, doubt we’ll see number three. Thank heavens.

@Kim: you are right! well although I am a big fan of the show i take it for what it is – fun fantasy fashion fluff ;) so there can be no spoilers I suppose if we’re in it for the four Fs. LOL.

  • annie

i agree with some earlier comments,Im a huge SATC fan but I wish they would of left it with the series. The whole show revolves around nyc and seeing the trailers of the second one taking them them to the middle east doesnt appeal to me

  • kaos

Why are all their promo photos so AIRBRUSHED?!

The ladies are getting a bit too long on the tooth to be playing sprightly little things.

  • Leslee

    I can’t wait

  • shak

    I’m sick of theses b!tches.

Thank goodness for photoshop…..I enjoyed the series…stil haven’t seen the movie and wonder how big this will fail. If I have the storyline correct, she cheats on Big with Aiden who she dumped in the series because she wasn’t over Big. Just stoopid…enough…let it die….

I think it’s fabulous that women who are not in their late teens or 20s can still rock a profitable franchise. Go ladies!

  • Melissa

    Love this movie

  • Liz

@dabaum: I know! I was like “oh… so they won’t have a baby in the sequel then?”

  • kcm

@laverdadduele: Really? If you’re going to copy/paste someone else’s words then at least try and go a little more high brow than the Daily Mail…

  • elle

I agree with most of the comments here, they should have just left it at the show really, the first movie was really stupid, the way they acted if they were younger I GUESS would be plausable but to be in your 40′s and 50′s acting that dumb is just retarded, sorry.

Something is wrong with their arms. It might be that the magazine couldn’t get the four actresses together for the cover shoot (because of scheduling, maybe), so they photographed them all separately and used computer magic to get their arms around one another for the image. It happens.

This serial is the best which I know and I have to admit that I have watched almost all series of it. I really like Jessica Parker because she is very clever and beautiful person. I hope that they will release and the third part of this serial!
