Scarlett Johansson's Mom Adopts Baby Girl

Scarlett Johansson‘s mother, Melanie Sloan, has adopted a baby girl!

The child, Fenan, is 19-20 months old and from Ethiopia. A source tells Us Weekly that the reason Melanie didn’t attend Scarlett‘s Iron Man 2 premiere was because she was on her way to pick up Fenan from Africa!

ScarJo has a half-brother from her dad’s first marriage and two brothers – one of whom is her twin!

Im sure the little girl is beautiful. Ethiopians are stunning!

  • yo sista

    Who cares?

  • conelib

I’m sure this girl is ugly as hell.

  • Josie

ugh, i can’t stand hateful people who have nothing better to do than post hateful comments! (you know who you are).
Ethiopians ARE beautiful, i have been there myself many times and the women are very beautiful. Quit watching the news about starving ethiopians as a source for your narrow mindness, actually go there and you’ll see what i mean.
I bet the little babygirl is beautiful and i wish them the best.

good for her, I love to see all these people adopting, not just celebrities.

  • jp fan

Congrats. it is a beautiful to help kids loving family and have them as your family

It is beautiful to give kids a loving family.

Her mom is hot. It must run in the family.

it’s mostly the average American who adopts and has always adopted not just celebrities but they too are just regular people.

  • Danny

Why this obsession with African Children? There are not children in your country?

  • mimi

It’s the new accessory. It’s all for the show of rich people and it gives them a great “story” to tell their friends at parties.

  • Athina

There is a lot of risk adopting in America. There are usually meth addict or equivalent druggie parents lurking around somewhere. If they come out of their drug induced fog one day they could want the kid back. You don’t run into that adopting from foreign countries.

  • drea

I’m sure that you are an immature, thirteen year old little girl that needs to stay off the internet and keep her useless coments to herself.

  • mimi

So you are saying that because people in Africa are so poor that they will not be able to sue and fight for their babies to return (like Zahara’s mother who is alive and too poor to fight Angelina’s adoption in a court), and so it’s less “risky” than in America?
So Africa is preferable, since people there are too poor in case of foul play?
So rich people get to keep their new accessory without worrying about the biological parents?

  • Yes

You’re right! Ethiopians are actually the best looking of all black people :)

  • Status quo

I know right? Gorgeous people….beautiful culture. I envy them in the nicest way possible.

  • Status quo

Wtf!? Wow…..please go back to whatever hole you came from and stay there. There are several “black people” who have similar if not the same features as “Ethiopians”. So superficial of you to say something like that. All you had to say was “You’re right! Ethiopians are extremely beautiful people”.

  • rachelsun

    Zahara’s biological mother is dead.

  • Dee

I can understand people writing negative comments about a celebrity but writing mean, horrible things about a CHILD who just needs a home and wants to be loved is just low! Karma’s a bitch so whatever! I think it’s great, good for her mom.

  • Kirsten

It’s funny how people judge people for adopting outside of the U.S. Are you adopting/helping children in America? And does it really matter? Either way a child is benefiting.

  • Yous

    “fenan” means “artist” in arabic.

  • Rose

Nobody’s mentioned how young Scarlet’s mom looks. They could practically be sisters!

  • lylee

I agree that there are plenty of kids in America who need people’s attention as well, all children around the world are just children. What about American children? are they less needy? less cute?

in the other hand it’s nice that they help at least some children. the girl is surely gonna have a beautiful life. good for her :)

  • shaar

It takes less time to adopt in other countries, that’s why many opt to adopt overseas.

Ethiopians are indeed gorgeous and I’m sure this baby will b cute as a button!

  • Kim Vo

You should see that ugly daughter John McCain adopted from India. She looks like a hairy, thick browed beast which explains why no one wants to adopt from that primitive pagan country who worship cows while they starve.

  • britt

what do a child’s looks have to do with adoption? nothing, so i don’t understand why anyone CARES if the child is cute or not. adopting is about creating a family and giving a child a home, no matter where they’re from or how they look. a lot of these comments make me sick to my stomach because some of you clearly do not understand that or the real meaning of family.

  • Lange

@Status quo: Are you joking? There is no other country similar to Ethiopia in looks or culture.

  • John

Poor child.I feel sorry for the little kid.

  • skorstensstillads

I’ve really found out a lot reading this page. Obviously extremely excellent fabric here. Content material comparable to this support make this blog internet site worth coming back to for even far more details

no sabia que entre los pueblos africanos también habían pueblos hermosos y pueblos feos, para mi, es una forma de racismo a si mismos decir los etiopes son hermosos, que deja claro que los demás no. vaya mundo!
