Katherine Heigl is all smiles on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar‘s June 2010 issue, on newsstands Tuesday, June 1.
Here’s what the 31-year-old Killers actress had to share:
On speaking her mind: “I spent so many years just saying what I felt without thinking about the ramifications, without understanding that I have this opinion but not everyone might share that opinion and now they don’t like me because of it. That was really awkward.”
On being a normal girl: “I hate it when people say this, but I’m a people pleaser. I was really raised with the idea that it’s important to be honest and to share your experiences, both disappointing and exhilarating. But sometimes I think the American public just wants to see my life a good fortune. They don’t want to know about the day-to-day. It ruins the fantasy. It’s lame to say that I’m a normal girl, but I think I am.”
On keeping up with the fashions of fellow celebrities’ daughters: “Dude, I try, but I’m not nailing the baby fashion. It’s intimidating. I get beautiful outfits from Gap and baby Juicy, but I’m not layering it or putting her in Prada flats. It’s really stressing me out.”
On her marriage to singer Josh Kelley: “There were a good few weeks when I almost smothered him with his pillow. [But marriage is] two people with totally different lives and totally different experiences just trying to fit.”

Love Katherine – absolutely gorgeous as ever. Glad to hear that Naleigh is healthy. Didn’t like the JJ interview edit…loved the stuff she had to say about not wanting her daughter to be the spoiled rich kid. Very down to earth.
The comment about wanting to smother her husband with his pillow- HILARIOUS!! I totally get it. You love them, but dude, sometimes………..
Such beautiful pictures. I remember seeing the candids of these on JJ so it is great to see the photoshoot. Katherine is amazing and great to see her on the cover of Harper’s. Anyone know when the mag is out?

idk why but i really like her. i saw like two episodes of GA and kind of didn’t really like the serie but very much this actress.
in interviews she’s such a natural, funny, honest and lovely person. she looks beautiful though with such an authentic personality.
Definitely very Grace Kelly – Katherine is such a beautiful woman. I don’t think anyone in Hollywood does glamor better than her. You want to know what a movie star looks like – she is the epitome in this shoot.

Still not tired of hating?Try Psychotherapy. All the haters here act as if Katherine Heigl run over their dog. GET OVER IT. Please for the sake of your family. this is not healthy anymore. MOVE ON.
I might not always agree with her and her timing in expressing herself but I do love that she does not act like a robot and she will say what is on her mind. Maybe its because I like people who are not afraid to agianst the norm, who are not afraid to speak their mind and who have opinions of their own. I like to see more of the “celeb” personality instead of seeing a promotions/public relations cookie cutter image.
Stay true to yourself because in the end you have to live with yourself and the decisions you make in life!

sure shes pretty but there are plenty of other pretty actresses that aren’t horrible ******* that practically complain about the chances theyve been giving. And she does suck as an actress.
I think she’s perfect. She looks like a princess here.
