Jake Gyllenhaal: Parkour Proud

Jake Gyllenhaal suits up in Burberry during an appearance on Good Morning America in New York City on Monday (May 24).

There are some mind-blowing stunts in his upcoming movie, Prince of Persia. The 29-year-old actor was asked if he found the physical aspects of this role challenging.

Jake shared, “I am an active person in my daily life and so naturally I loved training for this movie and I loved doing the stunts. When I learned that my character could run on walls in the video game, I knew I was going to learn how to do parkour (physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one’s path by adapting one’s movements to the environment), no question. I was fortunate enough to meet and train with David Belle, the inventor of parkour, and he taught me to actually run on walls and jump from rooftops safely. It’s not fake. We actually did it.”
