Mark-Paul Gosselaar & Wife Separate After 14 Years

Mark-Paul Gosselaar and his wife of fourteen years have separated.

The 36-year-old actor met Lisa Ann Russell, 38, on the set of Saved By The Bell, according to People.

“They both remain focused on their family and are jointly committed to their children,” Mark-Paul‘s rep told People.

The couple married in 1996 and parented two children together: Michael, 6, and Ava, 4.

FYI: Next up for M-P is a new TNT legal show, Franklin & Bash.

Aww I’m sorry to hear that. I have not seen him in years. I did not even know he was married.

Plain and simple that he (they) married too young. I just can’t stand it when there are young children involved. It truly sucks. I wish the best for both and hopefully if they do get divorced they will co-parent in a harmonious way.

No. I’m sorry to hear this. :(

@pinkydoo: I don’t agree they got married to young. I was married at 20 and my husband was 21. We will be celebrating our 11 year anniversary in a couple of weeks. Age doesn’t have anything to do with it, it’s all about commitment.

I am very disturbed when I hear of people who’ve been married that long just calling it quits. Love isn’t a feeling, it’s a decision. You took vows, you built a life together, you don’t just walk away. Like I said in the above post, I’ve been married 11 years and I believe you should stand by your commitment.

I hope he finds a hotter younger gf

It saddens me to hear this. But it DOES say ‘separate’, not ‘divorce’ so who knows. Wish them the best.

Excuse me?! “Love isn’t a feeling, it’s a decision. You take vows…” The wedding is the DECISION… NOT how you feel about somebody.
-
How do you know how long they spent living together WITHOUT the ‘decision’ (as you call love) – a few months, their last few years together? Do you hang out with them?
-
Sorry, but marriage ISN’T supposed to enslave either spouse & condemn them to a LOVELESS hell where the children (if that’s the case) grow up in a household of fighting or silent coldness; resenting each other because of pressure from others to “honor your vows…”
-
That kind of environment leaves kids thinking it’s THEIR fault mommy & daddy are yelling at each other again, or worse, them. Some parents start to take their unhappiness out on their children. Better to act responsibly & end things in a way that both parents hold no ill-will towards each other, continue to love & reassure their kids (no matter their ages) & remain on friendly terms.

That woman looks like Elizabeth Berkeley!

Well, he was 22 when he did it. Early, dont u think? He mite have get bored, its understandable.

Mrs. JP I agree with you; the ring is beautiful. However, you might want take your own adcvie about keeping up with news before you go around calling people you don’t know a bunch of idiots. This is a forum not a frat house. Mark-Paul’s divorce was finalized May 27th 2011. He and his now ex-wife separated a year and a half ago. In my opinion, that’s still to soon for him to take another marital leap but, that’s his business. Live long and prosper.
