I don’t know if Shatner was the best choice for the role.. I expected someone less recognizable, much older, etc. But good luck to the show.

i love the tweets.. LMAO so funny

I agree, I don’t think he is the right choice for the role. Hopefully it ends up working though, the twitter account it is based on is hilarious!

I also wonder how they are going to make it as hilarious as the original blog when they can’t say any of the swear words. It kind of takes some of the funny out.

I think Shatner is exactly the right choice for this and as for your wish for an older guy? Well, he’s 76 if you expect the show to run more than one season an older guy might be a problem as 76 is already quite old for a non-retired actor.

Oh hell, a laugh track……. *heads desk*

Why exactly aren’t they keeping the son? I think he did a really great job and he holds his own with Shatner which is probably really hard to do. Stupid CBS bigwigs. Keep the kid!!

I can’t wait for this show. Shatner is perfect for this role. by the way, he’s 79 not 76 as one poster mentioned earlier.

Shatner has comic timing. Yes, he’s recognizable. Yes, he has not one, not two, but 3 new shows on TV.

And no. He doesn’t have a filter between his brain and his mouth.

THAT’S WHY HE’S SO PERFECT!

Shatner is 79? I thought he was in his 60s. Wow!

OMG he looks great for a person that’s almost 80.
