Over the weekend, Amanda Bynes announced she’s retiring from acting at the age of 24 because she doesn’t like it anymore.

Can you retire from acting? Surely she meant quitting! It’s not like they’re going to have an office whip round for her and present her with a big bunch of flowers and a small gold plated mantel clock!

she has millions of dollars, she made millions before hitting 15. she was one of the highest earning, top paid young people in the world in 2007, back when she only had one movie out.
yeah they’re not going to have an office whip but she’s a huge significant figure in the history of teenage-angst cinematic films.
she is also a prominent figure in the development of the ‘tween’ market and has been nominated for abundant respectable awards.
She’s quite the talent.
I hope she comes back to acting some time in the future. Maybe she just needs a break.

She is hysterical. I’m so sad that she wants to retire. I have always thought her facial expressions were amazing. I can’t stand teen movies but I love “She’s the Man” and will watch it every time it’s on even though I own it! Yeah the work she has done was on the “light” side but I always expected her day would come. Hope she changes her mind. Heart her!
She’s a cutie! And she’s got lots of talent. Hope she reconsiders after a little break.
