True Blood: Season 4 On The Way!

True Blood has been renewed for a 12-episode fourth season, HBO confirms to JustJared.com.

“I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew,” creator Alan Ball shared. “This is the most fun I have ever had.”

The hit vampire series will begin production of new episodes early next year in Los Angeles, with debut set for summer 2011.

Check out a clip from last night’s new episode below featuring Alexander Skarsgard (Eric) and Allan Hyde (Godric)!

I wish they did more than 12 episodes, more like 15 or 16. It goes by too fast…

Russell and his boyfriend were hysterical with the blood dishes. I almost spit out the Pinkberry I was eating form laughing when they served the blood gelato.

The second episode was def better. More Eric. More brooding Eric. What more can a girl asked for.

So excited that they got picked up for a fourth season, but who didn’t think that was going to happen. It’s getting great ratings. HBO would have to have it’s head examined to not pick it up. I’m surprised they haven’t extended it’s number of episodes, but I’m guessing that doing an hour show that is actually an hour is like doing an additional four episodes.

YIPPEE!!! Doin a happy dance! Loving season 3 so far. Andy & Jason are hilarious together. COuld they be the next Andy Griffith/ Barney Fife duo???

As a fan of the books, I was interested to see how they would introduce Franklin since he was a vague character in the books. Loved it. I actually like Tara when she’s not around her Mama.

Note to Alan Ball for season 4: FULL MONTY SHOWER SCENE!

Yes the creative ways they served blood was hysterical. I am an Eric fan but he isn’t looking nearly as hot as he did in season 2.

I absolutely love Trueblood….but is it a drama show or comedy show….at times it can be overly campy and corny like that scene Sookie has with Jason in which Sookie says she just expecting Bill to come throught the door and say ”Sookie”….lame found it NOT funny…
I understand why the Screen Actors Guide and the Golden Globes may not want to nominate those TB actors and why the show will never win …since it is catergorized under drama because at times it is not a drama like shows like Mad Men who constantly wins acclaim at those awards….BTW getting tired of the Tara storyline wasn’t a good character in the books either…..more Eric and Sookie please or even the Magistar who’s creppy but a lot more interesting!

In response to poster #12:

The cast most certainly did sign 7 year contracts. It doesn’t mean the show will run for 7 years, it just means HBO has you under contract and it’s their call as to how long the show runs. It’s pretty much a standard contract with most American television shows.

@Cherie

Where did you hear that they have 7 year contract? What self respecting actor and agent would agree to a 7 …year….contract? Now your telling me that from the begining they did not know it was going to be a success and now the cast will not be able to renegociate their contracts until after 7 years or strike….from truebloodnews.net stated that the cast only had a contract up to the 4th season! Quess it will remain a mystery!!!

@Sleppyhollow

Yeah..I agree that it is hard to define whether Tueblood is a Drama or Comedy….Those award shows will acknowlede TB but it is sad that the show will probably never win due to this…those Award shows seem to only award strait and narrow Drama shows like
Mad Men only. Perhaps a new category should be included in those award shows like Dramaty mixure of Drama and Comedy, TB would easily win!!! Also, I am tire of Tara character would also rather see that Magistar who is SCARY in a pee in my panys kind of way but oddly rspectable. lol The writters wasting time on Tara character!!!

^ Wow such spelling mistakes lol I’m sleppy……. I am out!!! Love the show though…

The Demon’s That Tempt Me: Memoirs of an imperfect angel…There’s a book about him on CreateSpace! I’ve read a few chapters on a free website, but the book is all about sexy skarsgard! It even answers the question about why he won’t admit kate bosworth is his girlfriend…hehehe

Thumb up Thumb down 0

I’ve seen the book too! I actually ordered my copy off of Amazon.com

Thanks Cherie for informing poster #12 that the cast all signed 7 year contracts. This is public information if you care to take the time to look into it #12. Hopefully you’ll do that next time BEFORE you make a fool out of yourself.
