Angelina Jolie Visits Orphanages in Haiti

Angelina Jolie delivers toys during a visit to an SOS Children’s Village, an orphanage that focuses on long-term care for displaced families, outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti over the weekend.

The 35-year-old U.N. Goodwill Ambassador also dined with the residents.

“I like to visit and support the SOS Children’s Villages in the world because I have seen that the children are growing up in a safe and loving environment,” Angie shared.

Please, repeat after me………………..”Food is not my enemy! I will eat something! I will go to McDonalds!”
She should not go around wearing such shirts- it is scary.

  • Sophie

She seems like such a sweet woman.
I don’t know that much about her, but I really like the fact that she devotes this much time to less fortunate people.
She’s one of the few celebrities I think is actually genuine about these things.
Keep up the good work! :)

Awesome woman. Such a wonderful humanitarian. I know alot of Angelina fans who have become more involved in charity work just because of her.

  • RUBI

    LOVE HER!!

  • African Girl

How anyone can look at these pictures, listen to her and still doubt her sincerity is totally beyond me.
Honestly, this is a long way to go for PR, she could have just stayed at home, written a check, donated expensive bags and shoes for auction and she would have gotten the results people say she’s going for.
It takes commitment and a sincere heart to do what she’s doing and it’s so sad some people rubbish it because some pathetic millionaire actress got divorced.
    For Brad fan

tony @ 06/22/2010 at 4:59 am.. Right. Because soooooo many movie goers only go to see movies that star humanitarians. Wait.. No?

SOS does seem like such a great organisation.
Also, I note that all the 33 kids who were going to be taken out of haiti have been found by the biological families.

Angelina doing more to bring the attention of the world where it Should be, on the children of the world . Our future.

The haterz will be going insane again with their trivial BS about wearing “black” or Angelina’s small frame.

I wonder if any of those douchebags has done a damned thing to help another soul in their lives?……Wait what am I thinking?!?!??

  • busted

The one or two idiots posting should just post one long comment..They say the same stupid thing over and over.. It must get very exhausting.. I mean being so DUMB all the time.

Well just a few more weeks and we will be getting a look at her Vanity Fair interview.. Can’t wait.. I only buy the legit interviews, so I will be looking forward to picking up that copy in July..

She is without a doubt an amazing woman.. dedicated to her family and causes.. I saw an entertainment reporter reporting on this trip, and she said.. and I so agree.. NO WONDER BRAD PITT FEEL IN LOVE WITH HER.. WHO IN THE HECK COULD BLAME HIM”

Sometimes you are blessed to meet the right person for you. the trick in life is recognizing that person. Brad did..and he was smart enough to go after the best thing that happened to him..and I will also say Brad is the best thing to happen to her (outside her children) too.

They really seem to be a great match.. Good for them.. Good for them..

Melissa George could’ve been Lara Croft
    June 20 2010
‘Triangle’ beauty MELISSA GEORGE has revealed it was down to her and Angelina Jolie to play Lara Croft in the ‘Tomb Raider’ film.
Many will remember her as Angel in ‘Home And Away’ and has gone on to have a dazzling career in Hollywood, in films including ’30 Days Of Night’ and the remake of ‘The Amityville Horror’.
She said in a recent interview “It was down to me and Angelina. But it was one of those roles I didn’t mind missing out on because Angelina was so great in the movie.”

  • collins

Thanks for this. Not everyone has the finances and voice that you have but many of us out here do care about other people, and love when we see someone that has the means and power to help out those in atrocious situations.
Angelina has come such a long way from her wild days. She was born to do this, to be a humanitarian, a voice for millions who do not have one in our every day media. And its a crying shame that it takes someone famous to get the word out that they are there, and they desperately need help. I think people are who they are for a reason. Angelina is a fighter, and a strong one at that. All the nay sayers, and the silliness, she probably politely says “F You” too. No time for that. She has goals and a family to see to. Her acting career is probably really a way to continue on with her work, the real job she is here to do, humanitarian work and ofcourse being a mother. So yes, she sure does have beautiful homes in different areas of the world, and many, many more advantages than most have. But she has earned them, and for all she does for other human beings, she deserves every great gift that comes her way. We are -always- rewarded with kindness when we give kindness. The size of the reward should never matter.
I think if people were not able to have the jealous and hate feelings, you would not find a single person in the world who had something bad to say about this great lady. She’s human, ofcourse. But shes still a great person with a wonderful heart and is more than appreciated by the numerous people she has touched with her generosity and kindness.

  • the truth

The truth is that Angelina is a great woman and I love her, but she is anorexic and she is only bones, skin, and big veins. She needs to feed.

  • t.m.delafonda

That was beautiful, true, and so well written. I don’t know if you are an old or new fan, but, it is wonderful to see more people coming out in support of Brad and Angelina.

  • Soniaintown

Ms. Jolie!! I salute to you!!
Your humanitarian work really makes differences!
God bless you and your beautiful family!

Amazing woman. She really has grown in to her own. Brad must be so proud and Angie must be so proud to have Brad. I hope she does an interview with Charlie Rose and John Daily. They are both so smart and will not have a tabloid interview.

Rebuilding Haiti is not about a photo-op on one occasion. What about long-term reconstruction?.. I think the Haitians need to lear to take care of themselves. All these money won’t mean a damn thing if they go back to the same shitty governance and backward mentality before the earthquake. Thank God they their plight could make a few humanitarians bank some more money as they use societal marketing to sell their movies.
