Jennifer Garner Kicks Off k2kUSA Text-ithon
Jennifer Garner steps out for a good cause as she speaks about new advocacy program k2kUSA at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (June 24).
The 38-year-old actress and mother of two, who also serves as a Save the Children Artist Ambassador and a member of the council, helped spread the word about k2kUSA. The new campaign aims to bring kids together and stand up for children who grow up in poverty.
Jen helped kick off a Text-ithon, a text petition to raise support for early childhood education, with k2kUSA and text directory assistance company kgb. “I’m so glad that we are harnessing the power of kids and texting to demonstrate the importance of early childhood education,” Jen said in a statement.
