Javier Bardem will appear as a rock star who befriends Artie (Kevin McHale, inset) in the much-anticipated second season of Glee!
“We’re going to rock the house,” the 41-year-old Gleek (and Oscar winner!) tells EW. “We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”
Javier, who watched the entire first season in one week, pitched the idea to Glee creator Ryan Murphy. (Javier stars in the upcoming Julia Roberts starrer Eat Pray Love, which Ryan directed.)

Javier is a good man and a good actor. But that Julia kiss in S.Sebastián… she would never dare foul like it with Banderas, else Melanie would burn her. It just wasn’t elegant little Julia–you got a prize for a career (??) a bit too soon.
