OlderLindsay Lohan Gets 90 Days Jail Time
Lindsay Lohan arrives at her probation violation hearing on Tuesday (July 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 24-year-old actress was ordered to complete alcohol education classes every week, without fail. At the time of the court date, Lindsay had missed seven classes.
Linds got emotional when she addressed the judge after it was found that she had, in fact, violated her probation. “I’m not taking this as a joke – it’s my life, it’s my career, something I’ve worked for my entire life,” Lindsay said, fighting back tears.
“I wasn’t missing classes just to hang out and do anything – I was working,” Lindsay added.
FYI: Lindsay‘s SCRAM bracelet issue was not up for discussion at the hearing – the judge solely discussed whether Linds violated her probation by failing to attend enough alcohol education courses.
UPDATE: Lindsay was sentenced to a total of 90 days in jail for her reckless driving and for her consecutive DUIs. She will also need to report to a 90-day inpatient substance abuse program and remain on probation.

California jails has the habbit of releasing celeb inmates early (Nicole Richie, Khloe Kardashian) due to overcrowding at the jail. Unless you have actually interacted with alchoholics and tried to help them, you have no idea how impossible, difficult and frustrating it is. Of those I’ve known, one died of liver disease (swelled up like a balloon), one was murdered on release from county jail (alchohol related) , one starved to death because he destroyed his stomach and couldn’t eat anymore. They say “it won’t happen again” and then they are plastered and hiding bottles the very next day and the next and the next. It never ends.
No sympathy anymore. You either quit or you kill yourself or someone else eventually. Two really good friends of mine were killed in a head-on by a drunk. An artist friend killed himself while drunk driving by ramming into a house. A good friend was killed in his own front yard by two yahoos driving drunk down his quiet residential street at high speed.
90 days is not enough. She obviously does not understand the concept “Probation”. She has very obvious contempt for the authority of the court. She should be extremely thankful the Judge let her off so easy. The only suprise is why the &^%$ did it take the courts so long to put her in a cell???

25 days in jail? I once spent 3 days in jail. I didn’t like it and I suspect Lindsay won’t like her 25 and she WILL remember them for the rest of her life. If she is in with the general population it will not be a vacation.

Her dentist needs to be investigated. Dilaudid for a tooth extraction? That is just INSANE expecially for someone who has been to rehab 3 times before. Even impacted wisdom teeth shouldn’t require anything stronger than codeine.
