The Christopher Nolan-directed thriller Inception opened at No. 1 this weekend, raking in a bigger-than-expected $60.4 million.

The phenomenal cast: Leonardo DiCaprio (The Extractor), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Point Man), Ken Watanabe (The Tourist), Marion Cotillard (The Shade), Ellen Page (The Architect), Cillian Murphy (The Mark) and Tom Hardy (The Forger).

In its second week, Steve Carell‘s animated hit Despicable Me was No. 2 at the box office, pulling in $32.7 million. Nicolas Cage‘s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice opened this weekend at No. 3 with $17.4 million.

If you haven’t seen Inception yet, run to the theater and see it now. Or watch it twice, like me!

  • queen bee

As some of the critics have noticed, Ellen Page and Leonardo DiCaprio have absolutely NO chemistry!….but Leo’s still cute. No desire to see this film though…

  • Sweetie

“Juno” is a remake of the Korean teenag pregnancy movie “Jenny Juno”. That’s typical American to be rude and steal Asian storylines and without giving any credit to the original.

  • KAZ

I love loedicaprio he’s beautiful boy in the world and he my favrioute actor just leo ,

Fantastic film. Inception is the best film of 2010. I saw it yesterday with my girlfriend, and I’m planning to go watch it once again today. The whole plot, cast and visual effects were just superb.

  • Slig

    He just fabulous *_*

  • CanadaGirl

See Inception. Great movie. The whole cast is excellent. I wasn’t a Joseph G-L fan before, but it’s hard to keep your eyes off him.

  • lexy hates bilson

It was a great movie! It was nice to see a movie that was well written and had talented actors!!!

  • CanadaGirl

I guess my big question, my fellow Leo-philes, is, will you go see Titanic when it’s re-released in 3D?

  • carrie

@MEMEME: i yet saw Leo in the same character in “shutter island” 6 months again and sometimes i thought i saw “dark knight” but the movie is impressive and Hardy and Murphy are really interesting

  • april

i wanna see it, leo and joseph are my dream men.

  • Fantastic Film

Sadly, Leo’s not so cute anymore. But I have to admit he’s become a darned good actor. This film was brilliant. I was totally pulled in from start to finish and may see it again in IMAX. And yep, I agree with whoever said Ken Watanabe is gorgeous! (Ditto for Marion Cotillard.)

  • Jade

    @queen bee:
No offense of course, but if you have not seen this movie, then how can you possibly make that observation? Personally, I don’t think there has to be any chemistry. There is no romantic interest on either part, just fascination. Go see the movie!

  • lala

nevermind leo… about joseph gordon levitt and tom hardy…RAWWWWWWWWR

  • Jade

@lala: Tom Hardy is SERIOUSLY yum! Been a fan of his for years. His stage work is phenomenal too! And Joseph has grown into a fine young man!

  • AnonymousDiva

@ queen bee – since DiCaprio’s and Page’s characters are not romantically involved, why would it be necessary for them even to HAVE chemistry?

  • lala

@queen bee: I cant imagine her having chemistry with anyone…shes asexual

  • just noise

    enjoyed the movie!

i agree with the other posts about leo and ellen not requiring chemistry. which critics spoke about their lack of chemistry????!! idiots. might as well ask why joseph gordon-levitt and leo didn’t have chemistry. they were colleagues or rather, she was their intern.

ignorant to compare it to avatar. i watched both and imo, inception is way more interesting and totally different. and the person who criticized the title obviously has not seen the movie. it’s what the movie is about.

hey, don’t watch the movie if you don’t wanna but don’t leave comments that show how ignorant you are.

  • ginger

Leo is nasty. Anyone that parties with Paris Hilton is dead to me.

  • Jem

Anyone who thinks The Bounty Hunter is a smart movie should definitely pass on Inception, it’ll be a waste of your time and money.
I’ll recommend it to everyone else. It’s highly entertaining! I’ll give it 4 and a half stars.

  • Connie

leo has no appeal beside the fact he lost his looks.

All his roles are played the same way, no depth in him, he doesn’t have any range, watch good actors and they can play serious, mean, witty, rogue, sex leading man…. Shutter Island, Blood Diamond, Departed, all were exactly the same character, he is just lucky that for some reason he gets to act with great directors and scrips so the movie even with his one note acting end up being good movies.

  • J

JGL is soooooooooo hot & cute

  • lol

Leo is good actor but, too old he is nothing to me now

  • Just saw Inception

More like Crap Session. This was the dumbest sh*t I’ve ever seen in my whole life!

  • CanadaGirl

@Connie: Apparently, you haven’t seen, Basketball Diaries, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Total Eclipse, This Boy’s Life, among others…
Don’t type unless you’ve seen an actor’s full body of work. Leo has AMAZING depth of character.
I just re-watched both Blood Diamond and Total Eclipse today (lazy, rainy Sunday) and the characterizations could not be further from one another. He’s both cruel and hilarious as Rimbaud, and Danny Archer is conniving and vulnerable. The only the thing that both characters possess is complexity, but it’s a trait which is manifested disparately and uniquely for both.
“In America, it’s bling bling. But out here it’s bling bang.” Love that line… :)

  • Bristol

    Carb-face Crapio.

  • Dee

I saw this movie Friday then again Saturday it was THAT damn good! Christopher Nolan is hands down one of the best writer/director/producers out there right now if not the best. It was such a brilliant movie there wasn’t anyone I disliked in it. I don’t know who said that there was no chemistry between the actors but they’re wrong I thought all the actors meshed very well and played off each other the chemistry was there. Everyone needs to go see this movie!

  • queen bee

Jade, I watched a few clips of Ellen and Leo during a few critics review shows and observed how monotone their interaction was…then the critic went on to voice his observation of the same thing…and he SAW the movie. Also, ‘chemistry’ doesn’t only have to do with romance. Chemistry has to do with the flow of dialog between the two characters, their connection to each other that comes across to the audience, the visual and verbal attraction that makes us want them to interact together, and keeps us interested in the scene. Dinero and Pesci has chemistry. Brad Pitt and George Clooney have chemistry. leo and ellen, not so much.
Ginger, I kinda agree with you…but Leo dates super-models…and that seems to be ALL he dates, so you can’t be too surprised that he’s partying with Paris Hilton! It’s a free country though….party on, right?…

LaLa, I kind of agree with you too….Ellen Page gives off an asexual vibe, but maybe it’s because she looks 13 years old! Not really her fault i guess…

AnonymousDiva, again, ‘chemistry’ doesn’t only have to do with romance. Leo and Ellen…no chemistry. Their flat. And Leo’s acting hasn’t really evolved in the last ten years, so I can’t just have cool visuals and a mind bending/psy-fi storyline…I need the human element to draw me in. The interaction between the characters. I need to care about them. Leo kinda draws me in, though his acting is monotonous…but Ellen is doing her character in Juno…or so it seems. Joseph Gordon Levitt I’ve been watching since he was on the tv sitcom ‘Roseanne’ and he seems to be a doll. I’ll watch it on dvd for him…and Leo. SALT is the movie I’m reeeeally waiting for though. Wanna see a gal kick some AZZZ for a change…

  • Jess

YAY! That’s such great news for Inception :D

  • Dasha

I love Leo, he’s the best actor out there, can’t wait to see this movie, i’m sure he’s beyond great like always with Leo <3

  • AnonymousDiva

    His acting hasn’t evolved?!?

Well, I might have given you the benefit of doubt if you hadn’t written something so absurd, but I’m afraid after this comment, you just can’t be taken seriously.

  • not impressed

60 million is NOT bigger than expected… it’s actually quite lower than what they wanted and expected.

  • True

@not impressed: I agree….little old Karate Kid and Dispicable Me did around 60 million on average their first opening weeks also and then the numbers went down which is whats going to happen to this film when word gets out!

  • True

@not impressed: this movie was like the only one that opened that week too. It had like no competition.

  • Jane

I watched it! :) Good movie but I had to watch it again to catch everything

  • reo-g (korean girl)

    I even saw 3 times at a theater !
I couldn’t tear myself away from that movie.
