Cillian Murphy is set to star opposite Thandie Newton in The Retreat!
The 34-year-old actor, who was last seen in Inception, will play Thandie‘s husband in the story of a couple trying to repair their marriage by renting an isolated island cottage.
“One day they find a biohazard-suited soldier washed up on the beach, who warns them that everybody on the mainland has been killed by an airborne virus,” Deadline notes. “That’s when the psychological fun-and-games begin…”
Filming begins in Wales this September!

It’s so nice when JJ features a quality actress and very classy lady! Interesting that it’s being filmed in Wales.
I take it that is the same Wales that sticks out of the backside of England like a big, round carbuncle. I went there once and it’s mostly sheep and turnips, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find somewhere remote.

Yay! I am happy to see Thandie in a film that might actually be of some quality. Her last few films (Norbit, 2012) were not very good. Run Fat Boy Run was cute but not really great. I really want to see her is a good film with a strong role as she really is so talented. None of this big dumb comedies or big dumb blockbusters!

With Vanishing on 7th street under her belt and now this she seems to be doing the thriller horror/ genre lately although as long as they are good I dont mind :)
She is lighter and prettier than that ugly Zoe Saldana.
I love Cillian! Thandie is great as well. It will interesting to see how audiences react to an interracial marriage if this goes mainstream.

Cillian has a really pretty face..and I mean pretty…LOL I cant stop starring at him..Id kill for some of his featuresd and I’m a girl. This sunds like a kewl movie to watch. Cant wait.
