OlderGrant Bowler: I Hang With 'True Blood' Friends All The Time!
True Blood actor Grant Bowler opens up to Da Man magazine in the publication’s newest issue.
Here’s what the 42-year-old actor had to share:
On playing Coot, the biker werewolf: “Coot is a redneck biker werewolf, who is the leader (alpha male) of a particularly nasty bunch of werewolves. To get into Coot, I let go of all of the niceties of being a civilized man, and do whatever feels good, in an id-driven way.”
On starting his career in a Shakespeare company: “Starting out a career in a Shakespeare Company was the best grounding I could have wished for. I fell in love with the classics, with touring and with performing in repertory. Doing three different plays in the space of 36 hours is a challenge I’d love to take on again at some point in my career … now to find the time!”
On making new friends from True Blood: “My favorite cast-mates have been Steve Moyer, Anna Paquin, Brit Morgan, Dennis O’Hare and Joe Manganiello. I hang with them all the time.”

Why does every post on JJ about True Blood have to come down to finding a way to bash Alex??? I’m sure if Grant actually had to work with Alex he would like him just fine. We West Aucklanders miss Grant being Wolfgang West in ‘Outrageous Fortune’ here in NZ. I hope Grant was able to get back to NZ and make an appearance in the final series.

Yep, Grant was born in NZ but moved to Aussie when he was young. He’s a Kiwi!
