Anne Hathaway & Jim Sturgess: One Day... Just One Day...

Anne Hathaway looks like quite the dork while shooting her new romantic comedy One Day in Edinburgh’s New Town on Sunday (August 1) in Scotland.

The 27-year-old actress and Jim Sturgess (pictured below) play Dexter and Emma, who first meet during their graduation in 1988 and proceed to reunite one day each year for the next 20 years. Helming the project is Lone Scherfig, who directed the Oscar-nominated An Education (Carey Mulligan).

It sounds like the movie with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn (not sure name or spelling), I think it was called “Same Time, Next Year.” They met at the same cottage in Tomales or Mendecino each year for 20 years. They pulled it off and so can this crew. It was quite interesting to see how each of them changed and developed.

Those glasses definitely do NOT become Ann Hathaway. They accentuate her nose too much.

I am so excited to see this movie. While I don’t necessarily like the idea of Hathaway playing Emma, I think she and Jim will do a great job. The book was great, the writer of the book wrote the screenplay, they have a great director. I really think this movie will be great and will emphasize the main points of the relationship. Can’t wait!

Sounds a bit like the oldie Same Time Next Year.

Anne is fugly as usual while Jim looks awesomely hot!

Actually, if you read the book, they don’t reunite one day each year, we just happen to see what their lives are like on the same day each year. Great book, good casting.

Sadie, in the book Anne’s character only wears the glasses at the beginning of the story.

The BOOK is so GOOD! omg, read it if you haven’t yet-I read it all in one sitting. Emma the character is a nerd in college, suppossed to be a pretty girl who is fighting her own pretty and someone the hot Dexter didn’t notice until one night at a party when he really looks at her for the first time.

This LOOKS like the scene after the spend their first night together talking on the night of their graduation. The next morning, while still in his suit, they go on an walk.

anne isn’t my first pick for emma – I picture someone more like Kat Dennings actually. But Jim looks PERFECT as dreamy but smug Dexter….love his hair…

daaaang, jim sturgess looks freaking hot!

Thumb up Thumb down +2

Sorry but Anne Hathaway is NOT at ALL what I pictured Emma to look like…

This plot sounds very much like the movie with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn called ‘Same Time Next Year.’
