David Arquette has landed a huge deal with the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel to open David Arquette Presents: Beacher’s Madhouse, a Vaudeville inspired theater!
The 38-year-old actor plans to bring glitz and glamor to Hollywood Boulevard when the theater opens this fall as part of an expected five-year, $25 million deal.
“Since before I can remember, putting on an extravaganza like Beacher’s Madhouse (an NYC comedy variety hit) has been a dream of mine. Now that I have met the creative and gifted Jeff Beacher, this dream is about to become a wild mind-blowing reality at the Roosevelt Hotel in glamorous Hollywood, California,” David said.
The 2500 square foot venue features floor-to-ceiling crystal chandeliers with tiered glass stages and disguised VIP banquettes.

Hmmmmm. I don’t think HE personally pockets the 25 million, which is what the headlines makes it sound like. It’s the total budget to do whatever renovations are necessary, including permits, hire talent, operating costs with his salary thrown in somewhere for 5 years. I doubt very much that his personal salary is 25 million. In any event, good for him.

As for Courteney being the breadwinner, I don’t think David has been sitting home rubbing his hands together in glee; he does work. He ‘s completed 2 movies which are in post-production, he’s filming Scream 4 and has another film in pre-production. He works behind the camera as a writer, producer and director and has appeared in a number of television shows. He’s directed a music video and is currently working on a 3D short film.

Additionally, he has teamed up with b. Harper for a clothing line called Propr, and he chairs the entertainment council of the hunger-relief charity Feeding America. He is also going to be directing some episodes of CSI:Miami, Medium and Cougar Town.

He may not be as visible as his wife, but he seems to have a consistent work Ethic.
