Listen to Taylor Swift‘s newest song, “Mine”!
The new tune marks the 20-year-old country cutie’s first single from her new album, Speak Now, which hits shelves October 25.
Back in May, MTV asked Taylor what Speak Now is about. “What do you think?” Tay laughed. “Boys and love!”
“I’ve been writing it for the past two years,” she added, “so this summer it’s all about the finishing touches.”
FYI: Tay picked up a VMA nomination earlier this week for her video for “Fifteen”!

I’m a huge Swift fan, no doubt about that. But this song is a disappointment. It is neither memorable, inspiring nor is it a great tune. Sounds like a small town country bar number and its way too country. Its like she’s going backwards. She should take her more mature voice and what she’s learned over the last two years and blow us away again by taking a greater risk and sing the words of a woman and not a child.
i like taylor and her lyrics but i have to admit that almost all her songs sound the same and i was expecting something different from her this time

I LOVE it!!! everyone says all her songs sound the same. It kind of does but I like how this song has a more country feel. I don’t she’s gone backwards at all. I think this is just Taylor’s sound, and I like that she’s not changing drastically like other artists. People get mad at stars for changing their sound/image and now people are upset because something isn’t changing…….
So excited for her new album! Lovin’ this song. And ya know what, I’m glad it sounds more country, because if she’s going to be nominated in the country category all the time, then she needs to be country!
Swift is a bright lady with a terrific imagination. I don’t want her to change, just grow. It feels like this song was written in a minute, with no soul or depth. “You Don’t Have to Call” was her best!
