Nicole Scherzinger kills it as sassy bisexual performance artist Maureen during opening night of the hit musical Rent at Hollywood Bowl on Friday night (August 6).

Much better than Baby V I guess :D …. Now, that’s a great singer. Amazing performance and for the two of them, Nicole and that girl wth her. Don’t know much about the latter but she has a nce voice too and she screams talent! Good. The show is SAVED.
I did not know Nicole was this talent and she could sing this well. Way to go for proving me dead wrong. That was great.
I’m such a HUGE fan of RENT and even though it wasn’t no Idina Menzel. She did an AMAZING job. VH not so much. I very much respect Nicole and Tracie.

And, to be honest, I have heard from many many people who were there that Vanessa was amazing live and if you weren’t there you shouldn’t talk, because you didn’t get to view the whole performance. I even checked out her version of “Light My Candle” and it was significantly better than “Out Tonight” which is a damn hard song to pull off.
Well I was there and Vanessa wasn’t all that….just a pretty good average performer. Now Nicole was the one people were the most impressed by.

-Honey—I WAS THERE and Vanessa was amazingly terrible. Anyone that knows this play will see that. She was like a little child trying to portray a famous broadway role. No great emotion in this wooden actress . On the other hand, Nicole S. ran circles around everyone. She was magnificent in both her voice and her form. She deserves to be a great STAR.
I saw it last night and Vanessa’s voice is surprisingly really really weak. At points t was embarassing listening to her sing in comparison to the other cast members. Nicole did amazing and blew me away.
THIS is how you do it. Tracie Thomas (Joanne) I knew would be amazing because she’s Tracie Thomas but I wasn’t expecting Nicole to be this good. Idina as the original Maureen will always be #1 and Eden a close 2nd but Nicole worked it out! Not all was lost.

Yeah we were all spoiled by Idina Menzel. I envy that woman. She is a force to be reckon with. But Nicole was also phenomenal. Bravo! Yay for talent.
Now those are broadway singers.
