James Van Der Beek & Kimberly Brook: Wedding Details!

Check out this shot from James Van Der Beek and Kimberly Brook‘s wedding earlier this month!

The happy couple wed at the Kabbalah Centre in Tel Aviv, Israel on Sunday, August 1.

“We looked at this wedding as a sacred union of our souls,” James told Life & Style. “For us, there was tremendous freedom in not having to worry about the food getting cold or the DJ playing ‘YMCA’ again!”

“I first noticed Kimberly in Jaffa,” James added. “I was telling my friend and teacher Shalom [who was at the wedding] that after everything I’d been through, I finally felt ready for a relationship — someone I could grow old with, change with…a soul mate. I was in midsentence when, from behind us, a female voice interrupted. At first I was annoyed — who had the nerve to butt in on such an important revelation? Then I turned around and saw her.”

Well; I don’t know how I feel about this whole relationship or some of James’ recent comments, but I will say that he looks better than he’s looked in years.

I dunno – I guess I don’t understand why he’s pushing to get so much publicity out of this relationship. She’s not famous herself; he feels the need to tweet every major event in their relationship but won’t call her by her name (“the woman I love”?) on twitter. Look – if he’s happy then good for him – but I just don’t get the fascination with him at all.

James is an amazing actor. I became a fan more so from Mercy than I did Dawson’s creek. He’s gotten more gorgeous and talented as he’s gotten older! I know lots of my friends (guys too) are happy to follow him on twitter and say he’s really funny. Everyone releases information on twitter these days. And as for not saying her name- I think sometimes we tend to over analyze these sorts of things.
