Ryan Reynolds: Safe House Lock-Up with Denzel Washington!

Ryan Reynolds is close to signing up for the upcoming thriller, Safe House, opposite Denzel Washington.

Pic follows the only surviving agent of an attack on a CIA safe house (Reynolds) as he tries to get a lethal prisoner (Washington) to a second safe house before being taken out by violent forces that want them both dead.

THR reports Ryan beat out Inception‘s Tom Hardy, Zac Efron, James McAvoy, Sam Worthington, and Shia LaBeouf, all of whom were considered/met by Snabba Cash director Daniel Espinosa. Taylor Kitsch, Denzel‘s Unstoppable co-star Chris Pine, Tron‘s Garrett Hedlund, Channing Tatum, Chris Hemsworth and Jake Gyllenhaal were all reportedly in contention as well.
