Jennifer Aniston Switches It Up at the Cinerama Dome

Jennifer Aniston laughs it up at the premiere of her new comedy, The Switch, held at Arclight Hollywood at the Cinerama Dome on Monday (August 16) in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old actress wore a Lanvin dress, Fred Leighton earrings/ring, Salvatore Ferragamo croc clutch, and Josie and Lottie shoes.

On Wednesday (August 18), Jen will make an appearance on Chelsea Handler‘s talk show Chelsea Lately.

And on Thursday, she’ll be on Live with Regis and Kelly and Jon Stewart‘s The Daily Show (he’ll also have former U.S. Representative and author of “Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto” Dick Armey).

Seriously Jen, Chelsea Handler? How low will you go?

  • Theory

ill-fitting dress, two-tone hair piece, strappy sandals who still wears those kinds of shoes! She just looks meh…nothing spectacular or stunning.

  • Lucky Charm

Wasn’t her 15 minutes up, oh, five years ago?!

  • http://twitter.com/dawn9476 Dawn

Not crazy about the dress. She still looks great.

  • Tati

I love her! I can’t wait to see her on Chelsea Lately again! :)

  • andamentothat

bad outfit.. period.. nothing more, nothing less.

  • onedimensional whiny horseface

Ew. She’s back to her mini skirts. Her entire outfit is so unflattering.

  • same ole same ole

Same Afghan hair as usual. Same ill fitting out of style ugly thin strappy shoes as always that accentuate her veiny feet. Dress is too small at top. Blah blah and blah.

Looked like 20 fans top at this premiere tonite. Does not bode well for this silly rom com which could have been better with a different cast. Jason Bateman once had a promising career but no more.

  • queen bee

LOL!….Wow…..she gets it wrong, AGAIN!….that dress makes her look WAY hippy. She looks like she stuffed herself into the dress from the waist down!….and the plain boring hair…and showing those veiny feet and stubby toes…yawn. Tim Gunn from ‘Project Runway’ was right….SHE DOES DRESS LIKE A DESPERATE CHARACTER! Poor thing…

  • Mayer

She’s stuck in 98′…Jessica Simpson was sexual napalm!!!

  • queen bee

I LOVE Juliet Lewis….she’s fun! Jen, not so much. BORING!…I hope they take a picture of jen and juliet next to each other…..it will make chinny appear even MORE boring and uninteresting than she already is….LOL!….well, back to Angie’s thread. This thread is DEAD!…

  • iris

She still looks great……i cant wait to see her on Chelsea Handler..maybe new man for her or new baby???

  • Norman & dolly

plain jane looking so ordinary ..

  • YAWN

Has she been telling her plastic surgeon to make her look like Laura Linney? How is it she looked like an uglier streisand during the friends tv show run, and now has a totally new, even less interesting fug face now, cortesy of all her ‘work’ – yet no one says anything.

  • sigh

what is it with these women with ill fitting dresses/outfits? Either they are too slouchy or too tight in the wrong places.

So now this movie is called The Switch? Is it about Southern disciplinary methods?

  • same ole same ole

    @iris:

You have lost your mind. LOL She does not want a baby. And no new man because they all run for the hills.

  • same ole same ole

At least JL mixes her look up, the blue hair is different but typical for her. Her dress is also ill fitting and looks like a 70′s prom dress. Did neither of these women look in the mirror before leaving the house for this premiere?

  • LAURIE

HEY–ANALSTON, WHEN JULIETTE LEWIS (BLUE HAIR AND ALL) LOOK BETTER THAN YOU , IT IS BAD, AND SAD . WHY THE SO, SO, SHORT SKIRT? YOU ARE A AN OLD WOMAN.. WHY ARE YOU STILL DRESSING LIKE A TEENAGER.? AREN’T YOU 41 YEARS OLD.? YOU ARE OLDER THAN JULIETTE. RIGHT.? HOW EMBARRASSING. WHAT’S WITH THE SAME STRNGY HAIR.? SAME UGLY BROAD. BORING, BORING. SINCE YOU ARE GOING TO EVERY SHOW TO PROMOTE YOUR STUPID BOMB, DON’T FORGET– THE PRICE IS RIGHT. ANALSTON, COME DOWN. HAHAHAHAHA,

ANOTHER BAD REVIEW FOR THE CHINSTER!

I may be in the minority here, but I think it’s about time for Jennifer Aniston to stop doing romantic comedies.
    -
I’m not sure what else she can do, but I feel like all of her territories have been explored within the rom-com genre. Even this newest flick, The Switch which is a sort of pregnancy romantic comedy (which is becoming more and more common i.e. The Back-Up Plan) looks like it’ll wear thin by the end of its 90 minutes or so.
    -
Still, this movie does have one thing going for it, which is unfortunately not Jennifer Aniston. Finally, casting Jason Bateman in a lead role is a smart move if you ask me. He’s proven he’s got the skills to carry a movie, but he’s never really been given much of an opportunity aside from the forgettable Extract which not many people took the time to see.
    -
Hopefully having a co-star like Jennifer Aniston (for better or for worse) will be more than enough to at least get this movie noticed. All in all, while it doesn’t look like the best way to spend a Saturday evening, it may have just enough to make it worth a rent or a rainy day pick

  • Orion

If it was me, i would be really ashamed to be such an actress playing the same Rachel role over and over again and earning shamelessly lots of money from it. I really don’t remember if she ever had a challenging role. I think she has zero personality. I am really sad that many women look up to her.

    @Not Impressed by AJ:

You equate teling the plain unvarnished truth with hating? You have a problem, but then you already know that don’t you? JA can’t seem to adapt to change, she found her comfort zone many years ago, she won’t step out of it, therefore she looks the same as she has for years and years and years. Guess you are the same way.

BTW, those hideous shoes are most unbecoming, and her toes are trying to escape from them. LOL.

another looser film from a looser actress.

she looks so ugly & trying too hard!

Whenever angelina goes out in some premiere the envious one has to appear of aniston, She needs too many attention

  • same ole same ole

    @Orion:

Well though they might for some unknown reason admire her, I might guess for being on a tv show for 10 years as that is her major life achievement, not many women and very few men come out and support her latest flicks. JA rom com fatigue is very evident.

Her major problem is that she plays the same role over and over again, just variations of RGreen. She has had an acting coach for over 20 years who accompanies her on all her films (coach was in NYC for this film and in HI for the new ASandler film due out next year and on the set of Horrible Bosses the other day with her), question is this, is she unable to learn because she lacks talent or is the coach not much of a teacher? Something to ponder.

    She looks cheap.

    40 + wearing such a short dress?
    desperado as always.

    she hurts my eyes,

  • rada

as much as i love angelina’s beautiful face, i much prefer jennifer’s toned and healthier body over ange’s. did you see her pictures at the uk premier of salt? the skin on her arms are saggy! angelina’s skin is literally hanging on her once curvy and beautiful body :-/

  • Carolyn

    She looks cheap

trying to be a 20 yr old…please ms. desperado
    you are so ugly.

  • layla

She is quite unattractive. This movie looks bad

  • same ole same ole

    @rada:

Angelina has a loving partner who shares her lifeand 6 young kids, she does not have the time to exercise 4-6 hours each and every day, she has had 2 c-sections and 3 kids and has the scars to show for it, Angelina chose Brad and their kids over being able to chase the elusiveness of beauty and constant body toning .

All of JA’s body maintenance will fall victim to the passage of time as for all of us and then what will she have.

Angelina acknowledges the reality that she is 35 years old and not a 20 something, JA does the opposite and pretends that she is not a verging middle aged 41.5 year old woman.

There is no comparison or link between these 2 women. They trod opposite life paths.

    A LEGEND IN THE MAKING….I GIVE YOU…..MS. ANGELINA JOLIE!!!….

    _

…(some actresses make HOLLYWOOD HISTORY….while other actresses do the same thing over and over and over again)…..Go ANGIE!!….the most successful RECURRING FEMALE ACTION STAR….who also has the OSCAR….and critical acclaim in other genre’s!!!!!) EEEEEEEE!!!…so excited for her and her phenomenal success!!…it’s great to be one of the Jolie-Pitt fans!!…
    _

    http://www.thewrap.com/movies/blog-post/its-time-more-female-action-stars-20092

    _

…A pretty significant milestone has been ignored. With the success of “Salt,” we now have a true bankable female action star in Angelina Jolie. Most people in the industry are still slow to this monumental development.

    _

There have been female action stars before in Asia. Hong Kong was churning them out steadily since before “Come Drink With Me.” But when Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Zhiyi hit American shores no one seemed to know what to do with them besides miscasting them as Japanese geishas.
    _

Linda Hamilton beefed up for “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” but never made another action film. And of course Renny Harlin tried to make Geena Davis an action star and failed badly with “Long Kiss Goodnight” and “Cutthroat Island.” And let’s not forget Halle Berry who went from “Die Another Day” and “X-men” to “Catwoman.” At times action producers seemed to behave like the He-Man-Women-Haters club from the Little Rascals. If they greenlit a female “actioner” it was more along the lines of “Catwoman,” a movie that exists solely to put Berry in ripped-up leather pants.
    _

And the attitude still persists in a few areas. A friend of mine was working on an action script. There was a golden opportunity to introduce a female character, but his producers insisted he keep it a sausage fest. This despite the fact that there hasn’t been a male buddy action hit since the “Lethal Weapon” franchise shut down.
    _

To be fair, the number of butt-kicking females has increased exponentially in the last decade after the TV success of shows like “Xena: Warrior Princess,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Alias” to name a few. But now it’s undeniable, action movies with a female lead can sell. “Salt” will end up out-grossing “Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” “The A-Team,” “Predators,” and “Robin Hood.” That’s super impressive as “Salt” is not based on any pre-established property.
    _

So the box office success can be attributed pretty much to its star. More than that, Jolie has become a true action movie star; not just someone you buy as a deadly assassin, but someone you have a hard time picturing in a movie without a heavy dose of butt kicking.

    _

Sure she won praise for her work in “Gia” and an Oscar for “Girl, Interrupted” and she’s tried her hand in films such as “A Mighty Heart” and “Changeling.” But the hits on her resume would do Sylvester Stallone proud: “Gone in Sixty Seconds,” the “Lara Croft” franchise, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” “Wanted,” “Salt,” even “Kung Fu Panda.” Her pop culture image has become that of a lethal, feral warrior woman.

  • same ole same ole

    @rada:

BTW, why don’t you compare JA to a woman who is her age and has a similar lifestyle? Why drag Angelina into this thread? Pointless to do so.

  • lili

    omg…what an ugly creature

  • twpumpkin

Yawn!!!! Same self absorbed boring Aniston with the same old straw hair and same old “Look at me and how young I look in this same old color outfit” promoting another loser bomb movie that I will once again avoid.

  • KARLA

    # 41-rada–PLEASE COMPARE ANALSTON TO HER EQUAL–THE ONE AND ONLY–KATHY GRIFFIN. THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME AGE, SAME LONG-LONG CHINS , THEY ARE SO, SO UGLY. AND BOTH ARE CHAMPS FOR FOR THE DUMPEES. ALSO. WHAT’S UP WITH ANALSTON’S UGLY, UGLY FEET. — MAN, OH, MAN –EVEN HER FEET ARE DEFORM*D. POOR, POOR WOMAN.

  • Jazmine

Seriously Chelsea Lately again! Can’t she find weave the same color to put in her hair. That dress look desperately too little. Hate that dress.
See what John Mayer mean “she is stuck in the past.”
This is just a real stupid movie.

There is something similar about Jen and Kathy Griffin.

MTC tracking: ‘Vampires Suck’ looking to drain all the life out of ‘The Switch’
Posted by Grady Smith on Monday, August 16, 2010

New feature here: MTC (Major Theater Chain) tracking. These box office-predicting numbers are derived from tracking reports that get sent out to the major movie theater companies to help gauge how upcoming releases are going to perform. While these reports aren’t the most accurate documents in the world, they’re very helpful for box office analysis. Check out this week’s projections after the jump:

Vampires Suck – $22M (over five days)
    Nanny McPhee Returns – $12M
    Piranha 3D – $11M
    Lottery Ticket – $11M
    The Switch – $4M

Yikes for The Switch! I have to think it’s going to do a little better than that! No matter how you slice it, though, when Vampires Suck is leading tracking, you know summer is officially over.

  • ellie’

Jennifer looks so classy & sexy.. She looks great in anything this beautiful superstar… can’t wait to see the movie…

  • zoz

I’m wondering what she’s going to talk to Stewart about. She just wants him to drool over her like he does Angelina. He likes Jolie, cause she’s smart/humanitarian…not just looks.

  • T Pain

I kinda feel sorry for this woman..
this is all her life will ever amount to: Showing up at red carpets, getting her pics taken, doing rom coms after rom coms, being in tabloids..
No family, no love, no accompliments, no achievements, no nothing worthy..just emptiness masked by shiney highlighted hair and a spray on tan..

  • I hate snakes

She looks adorable .I hope the movie will do well .
Thank you for the pictures Just Jared .

  • I hate snakes

    @Orion:
Thank God it wasn’t you .

  • G

Tan is a good color on her, but this outfit is OLD. Again, it’s a short, tight dress with little strappy heels and the hair. It never changes.

But really, enough with the Angelina comparisons already, from both sides! For Team Angelina, you do no favors for Angelina each time the world is always reminded of the “homewrecker” tag, no matter how erroneous or arguable you think it is. For Team Aniston, you make her look desperate and pathetic each time her name is put up next to the Brange, especially when the other woman in this story looks all too happy with her family.

It’s been years, people. We (and I mean Jennifer too) need to MOVE ON.
