OlderMichael Douglas to Undergo Treatment for Throat Tumor
Doctors have discovered a tumor in Michael Douglas‘s throat and are planning to treat it over the next few months.
The 65-year-old Wall Street actor will undergo radiation and chemotherapy to treat the tumor, and doctors expect the Oscar winner to recover fully, his person tells People.
“I am very optimistic,” Michael said in a brief statement.

I think his statement of being “optimistic” is scary to me. If it is treatable why does he need to be optimistic.

I’ve always liked him. I hope he is OK. The stress caused by his jailbird son can’t help. Catherine seems nice. She almost looks as old as him now. Funny how that happened.

My father passed away 7 months after he was diagnosed with the same thing because he refused to see his doctor for a sore throat the year before. When he choked at dinner 1evening & was given the Heimlich maneuver then went to the hospital it was too late – The tumor was too big & in the “wrong” place to be operated on… I could go on with the depressing months that followed but I won’t.
