OlderUnforgiven: Angelina Jolie's New Role!
Angelina Jolie is being put on the fast track to play the lead role in the big screen adaptation of the 2009 British miniseries Unforgiven.
Synopsis: Fresh out of prison after serving 15 years for the murder of two policemen, Ruth Slater (Jolie) struggles to rebuild her life in an unfamiliar world. Her happiness with new boyfriend, Brad, however, is threatened by the vengeful sons of one of her victims. And the troubled woman is haunted by even further reaching reverberations from the events of 15 years before. Ruth may be out of jail, but breaking free of the past is not quite so simple as stepping out of a cell.
Angie will also be serve as director, producer and screenwriter in the upcoming Bosnian love story pic that she’s developing. “The film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship,” Graham King‘s production company GK Films announced.

Whether this is true or not or if she does it.. the point is she is offered quality material and gets to work with amazing people.
Trust there are tons of actresses that are hoping that she turns down a lot of these offers. Angie gets offers before scripts are written, because the scripts are written with her in mind. She gets to pick from the best scripts and offers. So Ms. Jolie is doing quite well. She works when she wants and not because she has to.
This is a possible project, and as was stated on another article Angie does not commit to projects until she has read and approved the script..
So if she does it.. great..her fans will be there to support her.
OT: OK.. Drew Barrymore has her latest Rom com coming out…I won’t be seeing it.. I have to say there are only a few Drew movies that I loved.. Home Fries (she was so cute and Luke Wilson was so yummy), Never Been Kissed, Charlie Angels (First one) Grey Gardens, and ET (haha).. and I really can’t recall any more..

Angelina rules – if the film ends up being as good as it sounds she could easily win her 2nd Oscar with this role. She is so much more than the mean action star she played in Lara Croft/Wanted – her performances in Changeling and Gia (among others) have proven that. I hope Angelina is successful as a director even if the first movie doesn’t do well. I like the idea of Angelina being an action star, dramatic actress and a director. I think Angelina the worldly director title is sexy. She needs to keep the bang cause I love that look on her. Also, I’m getting he vibe from her premiers and interviews that the brad days are fast approaching the end just like her vegan, Billy bob, Johnny lee, Jenny shimizu, and the days of lovers has past. Brad the large ego dufus will move on fast and Angelina will go on a self finding adventure . Seems like she has one of those more often than ur average woman. She’s always going through a mid life crisis? That’s why she can’t stay in on damn country for longer than a week without vacation to another country for a few days. Iye I think that’s what her seemingly out of nowhere trip into the director chair is all about. Sure she loves brad but it’s never enough for her. Lol she’s said that she’s always searching for more. The day had to come. Driving home from work late tonight I cast my eyes towards the huge Salt poster that can be seen from QEW in Toronto. Always a comforting site these last few weeks. Aw, but sad news my fellow fans; the poster has been replaced by one for the upcoming teen flick, Easy A. (actually it looks like it might be fun). I am more than happy that Angie is spreading her creative wings; I just hope she’s still game for a Salt sequel.

I’m sorry but why does the media and brad Pitt try to make a big deal out of the Mir project? I donated money to he project years ago and I’m a bit shocked that they still hadn’t built to total 150 homes in all his time. It’s like eve year the number of completed homes goes down. I remember they said 75 homes were up last year. I’m happily donating to habitat for humanity now and they’ve been doing good work down there as well. She should be more selective and take more time in between films. She’s making the mistake Nicole Kidman made. Kidman signed on to tons of projects because she was the trendy actress of the moment the way Jolie is now. And she became too overexposed.
Good luck to her on her directing and writing though. We need more female directors. Just hope she’s good. Shocked to hear it’s from a script she wrote though. Expect a lot of scrutiny. Wow. Making 1 or 2 films a year is such a heavy work load and working a whole 22 or 23 weeks out of 52 and making $20MIL per film. What a strain. Somebody sign my ass up for that. Stop confusing Angie with X – who takes every job offered to her for fear she’ll never be offered another one. That twit has 3 movies coming out next year and only the Adam Sandler flick will turn a profit.
This movie, like Cleopatra, is in the very early stages of development. The writer has to make a 30 hr. mini series into a 90 minute to a 2 hr. movie. That’s not going to be done overnight. And Angelina hasn’t even signed onto it yet. It’s being written with her in mind. She’ll either like the script or she won’t.
Her directorial debut, is an indie movie. Which will only be, at most, a six week shoot. She said that she was taking 5-6 months off while Brad worked on Moneyball. Brad started that in June. I have to take issue with your criticism of Ms Phil. She is only 22; from poor farming family in the same province where I grow up. Borne out of wedlock. Her answer is true to what she knew/know of herself. Her family, relatives, friends are very protective of her. Also, coming from very religious background-churches in our area almost like Starbucks here, located in every few miles of each other. If some of you grow up in a Catholic family, you will know what I am talking about. This lady more likely is/was shielded by her family. The question was what “major mistakes” which she does not think she made one yet. She admitted that she got nervous and that is one of the problem she is working on-public speaking. She could’ve answered/added that WHEN/IF ever (future) she makes mistake…but she didn’t. It wasn’t meant to be her turn, and Miss Mexico is pretty and well deserving of the win.
Not to say that because her and her family are very religious, therefore, they don’t or won’t make mistakes, it is just she does not experienced yet any MAJOR mistakes. Like her, at that age, I don’t remember making“MAJOR” mistakes in my life. Maybe, if you count having a douchy bf, and break up as major mistakes.

By virtue of the JPs’ job*, they spend at least twice as much time w/ their kids as average working parents AND the kids visit them at work. Brad and Angie are very lucky to be able to have these schedules and both have acknowledged this fact on many occasions. Fox News is now being sued for showing unauthorized video of Brad Pitt failing to control his motorcycle as he drives slowly in Hollywood. The footage aired during Bill O’Reilly’s show, where he used it to criticize paparazzi.
The owner of the footage, Media2Air, says it licensed use of the video to various media outlets but Fox News just took it “as part of its continuing coverage of the Pitt family.”
Fox News claimed “fair use.”
As you’ll recall, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch has been vocal in his belief that courts would eventually bar “fair use.” The comments have made their way into Media2Air’s new lawsuit against Fox News.
Media2Air says it licensed its Brad Pitt motorcycle video to various news outlets. Permission was granted under strict time and platform guidelines.
Fox allegedly downloaded the clip off of TMZ and broadcast it on October 27, 2009.
The plaintiff says it immediately contacted Fox, which allegedly ignored the demand and instead used the footage again two days later. The following day, a cease-and-desist letter was sent. Another follow-up letter was sent in February.
According to the complaint, Fox attorney Carlotta Cassidy then called Media2Air and said that use of the video was proper, citing the “newsworthy rule” (an aspect of fair use). Nevertheless, Cassidy allegedly blamed a Google cache for the continued appearance of the footage on the Fox News website, and Media2Air says it believed the video would soon be taken down.
That allegedly didn’t happen. The plaintiff argues that the offending image is still on Fox’s website and is being used “with absolutely no commentary or critical purpose.” (Yes, we’re posting the photos here too, but with a purpose.)
Media2Air objects to Fox News’ characterization that this was a fair use. “Fox News is wrong,” the complaint puts it bluntly.
As proof, the plaintiff trots out testimony by — you guessed it — Rupert Murdoch.

“Sources” have apparently told Showbizspy.com that the Hollywood star will be given “first refusal” to play Marston in the movie based on the hit PS3/360 game of the same name.
“This is an exciting project with a great character at the center of it,” the unnamed source told the site. “Brad is perfect for the role and he is being given first refusal,” they added. And we would agree.

It’s a gaming movie that’s trying to get some free PR by attaching Brad to the project. Brad WILL NOT be doing any movies based on video games. He’s turned them down in the past, he’s turned down at least 3 different comic book superhero roles that I can recall (Spiderman, Thor and Captain America) – and he’s going to be shooting the zombie movie based on Max Brooks’ book, so I really can’t see Brad doing a gaming movie, too. This is like Angie and all the stupid actress bio movies people have attached her to that she’s not planning to do.

I hesitate to answer because you know my stalker can never hold her water. I actually found last weekends numbers to be disappointing considering the large European markets it opened in. It needed a $20MIL+ weekend last weekend and this weekend to have a shot at $200MIL foreign total and that didn’t happen last weekend and probably won’t happen this weekend either. It made $17.9MIl last weekend and assuming an average decline of 40-50% that puts it at about $9-11MIL

The biggest new territory opening this weekend is France, where it’ll probably do comparable to the UK at $3-4MIL range. If it holds well in the UK, Germany, Australia and Spain, then it’ll come in at $12-14MIL plus $4-5MIL for Mon-Thur, so there’ll probably be about a $16-19MIL added to the foreign total – plus maybe $1.5MIL domestic for a worldwide total of $235MIL-$238MIL.

I’ve always wanted to have something there. I had looked into some properties in the late ’90s and almost bought a home. But my personal life didn’t make it possible then. After Katrina, in 2006, it just became a need. I needed to be down in the Lower 9th and I wanted to make films in New Orleans because I love being in the city so much.

Actually – Angie’s the right age to play Catwoman. The other actresses you named are too young. Catwoman has always been played by older actresses – 30s as opposed to 20s. Even in the comic books she’s 30s and not 20s. Think about the other actresses who’ve played the role – Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry. All in their 30s and Eartha Kitt was probably early 40s. It’s not an ingenue role. I can totally see Angie as Catwoman oppositve Christian Bale’s Batman. It’d be a fun role for her to do, but I doubt she’d take it even if it’s offered to her.
