Amber Riley & Jenna Ushkowitz - Emmys 2010 Red Carpet

Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz hit the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre on Sunday (August 29) in Los Angeles.

Amber, 24, and Jenna, 24, must be excited as their hit musical-comedy, Glee, is up for 19 nominations.

Following behind Glee in nominations is AMC’s Mad Men which is up for 17 nominations.

Also, you can catch Amber next season for a special appearance on The Simpsons as her character Mercedes! She’ll be joined by Lea Michele‘s character, Rachel, and Cory Montieth‘s Finn for the 22nd season of the animated show.

FYI: Amber is wearing a Melissa Masse custom dress, Chopard jewels and a Swarovski bag. Jenna is wearing Kevin Hall and Neil Lane jewelry.

Geez, Is anyone on that show actually a teenager?

Ohhh Amber, that’s a bad dress for you!

Her neck is short and that dress makes it look even shorter!

I am SOOOO sick of EVERY black girl hired on TV being the FAT girl. So sick of it. Why can’t she be thin like most other young women hired for TV? Think about it: Oprah, Sheri Shepherd, Chandra Wilson, Amber, Gabby Sidibe…the list goes on and on and on. I am sure these are lovely women, but do we see a casting bias here? All my black girlfriends are thin, fit and lovely and the object of much desire. Why isn’t this reflected in modern day television? Either that or she is a loudmouth like I love NY. Sick of this bias. Rant over. Geez. ANd Im not even black! lol. Can’t imagine if I was. I’d be PISSED.

Okay, your comment is so far off of the mark. What? Are there no fat black (or white) women out there? And should they not be able to get an acting job? Here you go – wanting all of television to be the thin, white, blonde and blue-eyed type casting that has gone on for way too long. Get with it, there are people of all races white, black, asian, hispanic, etc. who have varying body types. Really…
