Martha Stewart Talks To Four Females In Fashion

Could Martha Stewart be the next Barbara Walters? Martha hopes so!

The 69-year-old business magnate will speak with fashion industry females Donna Karan, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and J. Crew’s Jenna Lyons in Martha Stewart Presents, a primetime interview show airing on September 19 on the Hallmark Channel.

“My favorite interviewers are [76-year-old] Larry King and [80-year-old] Barbara Walters – both of whom are kind of retiring,” Martha, shared (via USA Today). “Who’s going to take their place as the serious, great interviewer? I’m throwing my name in there because I love to talk to people.”

Martha also shared that she’d like to interview young movie stars and political figures.

bravo, martha. you’ll be great if you can relax and talk like you normally talk to people. talk with Donna karan about her home styling – that is fabulous. her clothes have rather gone downhill recently. same with J. Crew – they’ve raised their prices but the quality has gone down.

Definitely interview Isaac Mizrahi; Ralph Rucci; Alberta Feretti; Valentino – how his life has changed since he retired – and how we miss the quality of his unmistakable designs – visit his apartment redesign; Olsen twins; Anna Wintour and her daughter; Ralph Lauren and his wife – visit his estate next door to you; Richard Feigen and his daughter, Philippa – how the art world is changing and what he decides to keep for himself, what his daughter decides to keep – will she take over after he retires, what she has learned from her father.; Katharine Weymouth; Michelle Obama. All those would be fabulous.

Have you watched her show? She’s cuts everyone off when she “interviews” guests. It often becomes a one-upmanship if the guest is sharing a story. Martha has always done what ever they may be talking about it and did it better, smarter, longer, faster, etc.
