OlderSam Worthington: 'Drift' Down Under!
Sam Worthington and two friends pick up a bottle of wine at a shop on Wednesday (September 1) in Sydney, Australia.
The 34-year-old Avatar actor wore a Motorhead t-shirt for his day out.
It was recently announced that Sam will star in Drift, a surfing drama, when the film shoots in the spring!
“To go back [to West Australia] and put something back into my home town is something I am really looking forward to.” Sam said (via TheWrap). “There’s something pure and true about surfing, and there is something pure and true about this script.”

Bernard, the article mentions him making an Australian surfing movie. Hardly a big franchise picture that will lead to being over-exposed.

He’s obviously annoyed at the papz dogging him, and who wouldn’t be? That’s his girlfriend of several years, by the way… not just some “friend”.
I think Sam, like his countryman and friend, Russell Crowe, is just trying to keep it “real”… and be himself. There are some photos of Russell from this weekend… and he’s just as annoyed being dogged on his down time. Nicole Kidman sold her home in Australia because of the intrusive papz there.
