Sean Penn Refutes Wyclef Jean's False Accusations

When Wyclef Jean announced his intentions to run for the Haitian presidency, Sean Penn was “suspicious.”

At a concert on Friday, Wyclef slammed Sean during one of his songs, accusing him of “sniffing cocaine.”

The accusations are not true, according to his rep.

Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti,” Sean‘s rep tells JustJared.com. “As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body’s immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous. More specifically, J/P Haitian Relief Organization (a.k.a. JPHRO) has a ZERO tolerance policy for any and all illegal drugs. As the leader of this organization, Sean Penn has not only set this policy, but adheres to it. That Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising.”

Shouldn’t we be worrying about Haiti’s problems rather than picking a fight?

Penn’s had drug problems for decades. It ruined his marriage. I can’t believe he wants to deny it now.

Wyclef is just making himself look dumber and dumber. Team Penn who seems like he’s more Team Haiti ultimately. Like Penn I always thought Wyclefs bid for presidency was very suspicious. Now it just seems like he’s trying to get attention.

Wyclef should just STFU. He’s been embezzling money from his “charity” and now wants to be president of Haiti. Why, so he can rip off even more people? He’s a crook with a lot of nerve, no experience or qualifications to speak of and yet feels entitled to run. Jackass needs to sit down!

Wyclef Jean is a d.ick. He isn’t about helping anyone but his own pockets. Quit acting like a child and shut your mouth. I don’t care if Sean Penn is using, what in hell does that have to do with helping Haiti, something Jean obviously isn’t doing. He’s too busy making his pitiful reggae songs about those who really do give a damn about the Country.

Wyclef is a douchebag for taking the focus away from important work like helping the people of Haiti. And he thinks this is presidential behavior? Wha ta jerk! Pay your taxes first Wyclef and stop taking money from your foundation before you start attacking people. What an ego! Wyclef should just go AWAY!

I like Sean but he’s a drunk..always has been and that is not a secret to anyone who knows him..he started the fight and to be passive/agressive by stating that Wyclef shouldn’t take what he says personally…I mean wtf …how is he suppose to take it…

Sean AND RW Penn are both cocaine users. It’s sad. Wyclef should talk **** about someone without kids… kids who don’t need to hear that everyone knows about their parents drug habits.

I’m not a huge Sean Penn fan (he’s so full of himself) i’m with him on this one. Wyclef should really let it go and should grow a thicker skin.

    dragon femme Says:

Sean Penn was trying to shame Wyclef by that disgusting, condescending statement. You all know Penn is a volatile, violent, abhorrent specimen of a man. By going to Haiti or New Orleans he thinks he can fool everyone, but his character is vile.

what a great president he would have made. *******.

    ms bar jolie gaga Says:

Sean Penn was on Larry King and just answered a question honestly. He basically said what everyone was thinking but afraid to say: Wyclef Jean is not qualified to be President of anything!. Sean has the right to speak his mind but he did not attack Wyclef personally. Besides, Wyclef is the one who wants to be President and part of being President is being Diplomatic and taking the high road anyway. So what kind of behavior is it for a wanna be President to go on stage and call a man who donated money to his country a “coke sniffer” and then say it in a grammatically incorrect way too “Sean ain’t seen me because”. Wyclef is such trash. he needs to go away and learn english before he lets his ego convince him he can actually run a country. What a joke! What a jerk!

I was sitting next to Penn at dinner one night not long ago and some respected actors were coming up wanting to talk to him about ways of helping in Haiti. Whatever you think of his politics, his efforts and good works there are known and respected by many.
