Piers Morgan Takes Over Larry King's CNN Time Slot

Piers Morgan will take over Larry King‘s primetime slot on CNN, the network announced on Wednesday.

The 45-year-old journalist will host a “candid, in-depth newsmaker interview program” beginning in January.

“I have watched Larry King Live for much of the last 25 years, and dreamed of one day filling the legendary suspenders of the man I consider to be the greatest TV interviewer of them all,” Piers said.

Larry hosted Larry King Live beginning back in 1985 and announced over the summer that he’d end his nightly show but continue to work at CNN.

Hmm, now I really didn’t think this was true so colour me surprised. Pierce now has a pretty big responsibility and a rather difficult task to make people take him seriously for a change. He’s smart though so we’ll see.

What there is no American qualified for this job? They have to hire a filthy rich Brit.

To answer your question boston61 I guess we could have had Barbara Walters ask in death questions like “what is your favorite color?”
