Gwyn stars as an alcoholic singer who embarks on her career resurrection tour after she’s plucked out of rehab by her husband (Tim McGraw).
Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund also star in the Nashville-based film.

Gwen looks great and she sounds pretty good! Better than some of the people on the radio!

She has a good singing voice
Gwyneth has a good voice but not much stage presence. Not sure how she’ll be as a country singer. Her concert scenes don’t seem believable.
I like all of these actors, but neither leighton nor gwen seem right for this type of character/movie
There you go, a music career. If that’s her singing without auto-tune, then she’s doing pretty good. Her acting career isn’t going so well, not that she’s not getting roles, she just hasn’t done anything meaningful as a Headliner since before 2000. If she can make a go at singing, why not?

I can’t see her going on tour though, I think that would disrupt her kids lives too much. She only sees her husband every third Saturday when there’s a full moon as it is. if she can make money and a musical reputation by belting out a single her and there, then go for it. .

The movie seems interesting at least, hopefully she’ll get some good press from it. I’m not a fan, but at least she’s doing some different.

Where have you been? She is recently in Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Both of Iron Man movies are huge!
She’s not trying for a music career. She’s did this for a role. Get a clue!

A little corny but I’m intrigued. Love seeing Tim McGraw onscreen. He’s really talented and unfortunately always overshadowed by a bigger name.

Her nose has really gotten more beak-like over the past few years. I don’t remind it being so prominent when she was younger.
@Thumper: Yeah she was in the Iron Man movies, but NOONE went to see those movies because she was in them. Seriously.
She did sing in a movie her Dad did, Duets, and wasn’t bad. She sang with Huey Lewis. I don’t care for her, at all, but I did enjoy that movie (as typically boring as those type of movies are) she wasn’t half bad with her singing. I didn’t bother to listen to this, I am not a country music fan or of her.
