Jon Hamm Covers DETAILS October 2010

Jon Hamm puts on his best brooding face for the October 2010 cover of Details Magazine. Here’s some choice quotes from the 39-year-old Mad Men hunk:

On becoming an “overnight success” late in life: “I don’t know how the Twilight kids or Miley Cyrus handle it. You make one bad decision and people in Thailand Twitter about it.”

On his new movie The Town: “It’s almost like an old Hollywood movie. It’s got a love story, it’s got a crime element, but it’s very much for adults. There’s not a lot of candy for the Twitter-obsessed. It just deals with adult s–t- no werewolves, no vampires. Yet … they’re retooling it for 3D.”

On reality shows: “L.A. represents opportunity. And, as has been proven over and over in the current media landscape, it doesn’t take much for them to put you on TV. If that’s all you want you can just be on The Bachelor or The Real Housewives or whatever show just wants oversized personalities, ridiculous behavior and zero dignity.”

On equating fame to porn stars: “When you try to learn how to act, you approach it with respect. But if you just want to be famous…that’s not much different than porn. ‘I’m a movie star!’ Well, no, no you’re not. You’re a porn star, and that’s completely different.”

he is 39 btw, and since when is that ‘late in life’. wow

Love me some Hamm. Love that he has a mature outlook on life and the silly entertainment business.
I read a story about his struggles in Hollywood and how he waited tables ont the same people kissing his ass now.
You gotta wonder how stupid can these Hollywood people be NOT to have picked up on the guy’s talents sooner.
Nonetheless…I’m glad he found his niche and I’m happy we found him.
I love him as Don Draper and last Sunday’s episode when broke down and cried after a death..saying “..she was the only person who really knew me”…WOW!

I always feel his pain…that’s a good actor.

i just love this man, too bad he’s already taken. still a girl can dream

those photos aren’t very flattening.

Jon Hamm has taken my breath away…

Absolutely LOVE him and the entire cast of Mad Men! I have never been this enchanted over any other production…ever. Matthew Weiner you are over the top talented, and your casting couldn’t have been more spot on! You are all the best kept secrets to have ever emerged!
