Can’t wait for Modern Family to come back. So glad to see Ben doing well and his friends supporting him!

I hope that Ben McKenzie does more mainstream movies from now on.

# 3

Yeah, and the maybe you could spoil all the deets for that as well Jared!

Really unflattering pic of Ben….

His play got a standing ovation opening night. He’s a hard working actor who will only get better with time.

# 7

@Amy: he has stage make up on, which distorts your features up close and looks weird. I used to do plays so I know. Also, he had to have his hair like that for the play. That is why he looks “unflattering.” It’s completely understandable. Almost nobody looks good up close with stage make up and a hairstyle from the 1930s… the stage make up also makes you appear more pale than you actually are. It only looks good on stage. It looks horrible up close.

Happy Birthday Ben! And Congratulations on a successful opening night!

That’s great, i’m pleased it was such a success for him – great actor.

He looks very happy!, can’t wait for Southland to return.
Belated Happy Birthday to Ben, thanks Jared!

that’s only the latest re encarnation of this classic play there’s been some highly regarded TV film adapatations of it starring Oscar winning actresses as the mother Amanda that in Katherine Hepburn’s 1973 version and Joanne Woodward’s 1987 version that was directed by her late husband Paul Newman. yes Ben is a good actor but this is bound to fail

Courtney, the reviews are out. Nearly all are overwhelmingly positive. The critics have already spoken on this one. I suggest you read the reviews from the LA Times, Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Backstage, Curtain Up. This was opening night but the play has been in previews for a week in LA and had two successful runs before that. You can also read up on what members of the audience have to say.

Love himin whatever does. Yes he could be on modern family!

Those two are destined to getting together.

Outside the OC, Mckenzie has been doing quality, critically acclaimed work. Much more than his costars. You have Junebug, Johnny Got His Gun, Southland and now this play.
