Chelsea Handler: VMAs Earns Best Ratings Since 2002!

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (September 12) pulled in 11.4 million viewers, the the best for any MTV telecast since 2002′s 11.9 million!

It was also the third most watched telecast in MTV history and up 27 percent from 2009. Host Chelsea Handler has much to celebrate!

“Just got word…Highest rated VMA’s since 2002,” Chelsea said when she found out the good news. “Good job, MTV! Good job, kiddo.”

Earlier this morning, Chelsea thanked her fans for tuning in. “Thanks for watching everyone,” she said. “I know I had a good night when I wake up with tape on my back & glitter on my face. Now, I have to go do my show [Chelsea Lately].”
