As a fellow Kentuckian, I want to apologize on behalf of all Kentuckians for George’s recent shameful behavior. There was a time when Kentucky was proud of him, and hopefully one day soon we will be again. He needs to fire his idiotic publicist and lose the contract famewhore fake girlfriend, for starters. Then he needs to step back and reassess his life. He needs to think about what he loves about acting and what he wants to do both professionally and personally. When he behaves with honor and authenticity once again, I will be the first person to support him. Until then, I won’t be seeing any of his movies or support him in any way. Watch the movie “Living Out Loud,” George. It will tell you what you need to know.

“A limited number of issues are available -”

Why? Is it because it’s only for members of the Academy or because George is on the cover? No really, I want to know.

Follow Not only is he a class act… This man resonates a magnificence in his spirit with his willingness to “keep the spotlight burning” on those in need. The wa…y he gives of himself resonates a spirituality unique to mankind and supercedes the madness of religion.

i have to say that what you posted is very well said. however, when you say “He needs to think about what he loves about acting and what he wants to do both professionally and personally” i’m not sure what you mean. from what i’ve seen, george seems to be doing, for good or bad, the projects that he wants. which is what ever actor wants; to choose his/her own parts.

also, how exactly is he not behaving with honor and authenticity? that recent interview with OK magazine sounds pretty authentic to me. and the interview also reads like george has assessed his life. as for elisabetta, i’m with you on that one. i don’t like the look of her. i can see a woman having a small tattoo on her wrist, ankle, back etc. but all those tattoos that girl has look trashy.

@anonymous: The American is a very good movie. Some shots are simply artistic masterpieces. This is a new kind of movie and like any new product requires special marketing events (but not like Canalis of course). It is more complicated work, which should lead the viewer to its perception http://i56.tinypic.com/5bnt3l.jpg

    MiraMcB Says:

Class Act. A true gent. Also, I’m told, a very nice person. Good for you, George!

    anonymous Says:

He needs to remember why he’s in this business, because recently he’s only been in it for the money. He entered into a publicity contract with Canalis thinking that this would allow him to make more money. In pursuit of publicity and money, he got Canalis an undeserved role on Leverage, sending the message that the casting couch is acceptable. He allowed Canalis, who is implicated in a cocaine scandal, to attend the Emmys with him, sending the message that it’s the coke-addicted whores of the world rather than talented and hard-working women who are rewarded. He came in second in a poll asking which celebrities make the best role models, which is frightening considering the types of things he’s been doing lately.

He didn’t do an interview with OK magazine. OK just rehashed some old quotes and presented it as though it were an interview. A lot of the trashier magazines and publications do this.

He is the real deal, isn’t he?? You know why…his parents! Congrats to Mama and Dad Clooney …you did a fine job!! Love em’!

    anonymous Says:

You know what, I just realized that he’s turning into Berlusconi. He’s doing the same kind of whoring and media-manipulation, although on a smaller scale.

    HOPE Says:

George worries a lot about this disastrous situation, you can see that he put on ten years. All of his relatives and friends worry too. But this is contract, and nothing can be done. It was not George who recommended Canalis to Leverage, it was the person of her own background and he violently promoted her to Clooney. George is not indifferent to this situation and in confirmation of my words you can watch the Emmys backstage interview, he was very nervous, that it is not typical for him at all. And the speech itself was an indirect apology, he said “situation continues to be disastrous…”

  20. 20
    anonymous Says:

The contract would have ended by the end of August, yet he still does photo ops with her. Unless they are all older photos slowly being released.

    to anonymous Says:

what’s wrong with george clooney making money for what he does. i’m sorry, but i don’t think anyone who goes into acting wants to become a poor starving actor. as for the film, leverage, that is one i’ve never heard of. you’re right she is implicated in a coke scandal but what ever happened to “innocent until proven guilty”.?

  22. 22
    Contractis Says:

@anonymous: It is Elisabetta CONTRACTIS story and all these photo ops are old! There will be more, from London Film Festival for example…

  23. 23
    anonymous Says:

The London Film Festival is a month away. There will be no excuse if he takes her there. But I don’t think he will. He’ll go to Darfur, which will be a major reality check, and hopefully reassess things.

I didn’t expect to get +6 rating on my first comment. I figured I’d be ripped apart, and that rating surprises me. It does tell me though that a lot of people have seen through this charade. I just kind of needed to get things off my chest, and I’m thankful that I was able to do it here. I wish the best for George and that’s partly why I’m pissed off at him right now. I’m sure he’ll turn things around surprise people in good ways for a nice change.
