Kate Beckinsale: Smuggling 'Contraband' with Mark Wahlberg

Kate Beckinsale has signed on to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in the upcoming film Contraband, reports Latino Review.

The movie centers around a security guard and former alcohol smuggler on the Iceland-Netherlands route who is tempted back into the business after running into some financial problems.

No word on when production is supposed to start but the flick will be a remake of the 2008 Icelandic thriller Reykjavik-Rotterdam.

Kate‘s other upcoming project is the drama The Trials of Cate McCullough with Sienna Miller, while Mark can next be seen in The Fighter, which comes out Dec. 10.
