Cate Blanchett Lands 'Here On Earth'

A bespectacled Cate Blanchett comes out to support Australian environmental activist Tim Flannery and his new book, Here On Earth, on Thursday (September 23) in Sydney, Australia.

The Oscar-winning actress, 41, also addressed the audience at the launch event, which was held at the Wharf Restaurant.

Here On Earth delves into how the human race’s success as a species has had disastrous effects on the planet’s ecosystems. It also promises to change the way people live and how we can prevent a climatic catastrophe.

Earlier this week, Cate and her husband, Andrew Upton, attended a photocall for the Sydney Theatre Company, which kicks off its new season in December.
