Lauren Conrad is returning to MTV!

The 24-year-old Hills starlet turned fashionista will star in a documentary-style reality show as she creates an eveningwear line and builds her fashion brand from scratch.

“I’m so excited to take on this new project that really focuses on my true passion,” Lauren told THR. “I’m happy to be partnering with MTV because I have had such an amazing relationship with them and love being a part of the network.”

Radiohead you said it all!! But the dumbest people of them all – are those who buy her clothes (she herself wouldn’t be caught dead at Kohls) and the ones who will watch her stupid show!

  • Lu Conrad

of courseeeeeeeeeeeeeee im beyond excited!!! this is amazingggggg MTV is not the same without lauren conrad! sheee sooooooo perfecttttt!!!!

  • zaraaaa

ughh your too old for this…or maybe it’s just getting old

  • lexy hates bilson

It’s getting old – out of work celebs with no REAL talent calling themselves “designers” and putting their name on things…but again, blame the dummies who buy their crap!

  • KellStar

A girl that’s doing something for herself other than lines of coke and sex tapes.

  • nkenk

She has a little bit more credibility than most celebrities creating lines. She actually went to FIDM and graduated unlike Heidi who created one even though she dropped out of FIDM and started working at Bolthouse. Criticizing her fashion sense doesn’t make sense either because she’s designing for the demographic that watched The Hills and they all dress like her just like all the other celebrities are going to do clothes based on their personalities and fans. And her clothes are obviously doing well if Kohl’s invited her to do another season. It’s so stupid when people criticize the people watching the show because it doesnt make you seem even smarter -_-

Wow, I love Lauren, and part of me is happy to have her back, but it’s kind of pathetic in a way . . . I thought she was DONE with reality TV :S

    I actually like her!
and I think it would be good to see her again on mtv

  • Radiohead

@nkenk: You poor thing. You actually think she ‘graduated’? Even if she did graduate, it probably wouldn’t be based on merit. She had her father’s wallet intact.

…ahahahahahahaha …aww they’re bringing the joke back to MTV. and here i thought they were on the right path with world of jenks (which is a very, very good show). they’re bringing back the fakeness with fakey and her fake clothing line, fake company, fake friends, fake everything. 100% scripted. ahahahahahahahahaha …her 5 fans will enjoy it so cool.

  • Heads/Tails

I’m assuming they’ll have many ghost helpers to make her work look decent as her mainstream line that bombed was pedestrian, overpriced and poor quality. I feel bad for all the talented FIDM students who kill themselves and try networking—and this girl only gets to keep making money and getting second chances because she was a silly beach chick on a reality show years ago and kept the gravy boat going. Have you seen some of the names of the alums who’ve graduated from FIDM—-Monique Lhullier—Costume designer Mona May who designed the iconic wardrobe for the film, “Clueless.” And….umm…Lauren Conrad….designer of… oversized, cotton tank-top in bubble-gum pink——-SMASHING!

  • In The Know

ITS A JOKE….there assistants at major fashion houses that really GRADUATED….Central St Martins…Parsons etc….that really are the NEXT ANYTHING in fashion

This girl is a cute…….. reality show……… joke.

Does that matter? If you compare her to the other stars of The Hills she’s doing something productive instead of snorting coke or being known for fake divorces and plastic surgery. Her does better than other celebrities that have lines (Avril Lavigne? Heidi Montag?) so she’s obviously doing something right. Its funny how people are going to criticize her if she tries to something positive and also get mad at other celebrities who sit around and do drugs and put out sex tapes.

#14 YOU NAILED IT! Couldn’t have said it better myself. All those laguna beach girls got sooo lucky in high school, lord knows they would have never been famous otherwise. Same goes to the Jersey Shore cast, don’t get me started….

  • Ginger

I never liked her when I saw her get jealous of her friend, Whitney, walking the runway and going to Paris…. I know she secretly wish Whitney would fall on her face on the runway and she did. Poor Whitney. since then I never liked Lauren and never watched another episode.

  • Kai

Yes except for the haters above. Most of us love Lauren and we are very excited to see her coming back to MTV. Watched every episode of the Hills and The City and back episodes on the MTV web. Hope both shows will be coming back.

    wowowowoow,cant waittttttttt

  • hnooda

    i love lc, and i can’t wait :)

  • cunny brown

she was the lamest one on the hills. so boring

  • lexy hates bilson

Of course they have “ghost” designers designing the clothes…you know people with actual talent and skills to do the work while LC continues her job as full-time talentless media whore!

  • seriously

My wife and I live in Paris and shes tried soo hard to break into the fashion industry and make it as a designer and after 5 years of hard work she actually has a successful career. The fashion industry is all about desire and dedication and people who make it as designers take pride in calling themselves designers. So when you see celebrities who just happen to like clothes calling themselves designers because they’ve designed a couple of dresses or pairs of jeans its sort of heartbreaking. Whats even more upsetting is people and television network promoting their no existent careers. I don’t dislike her, but her and other people calling her a designer is absurd. If you want to establish yourself in fashion do it the right way and not through the use of reality television.

  • Nahla

I am excited for her show. I cannot wait to see her personality on tv hopefully this time without all the crying, backstabbing, just good fashion drama.
